Summary Of Case Study
McGraw-Hill is an American learning math company and one of the "big three"
educational publishers that provides customized educational content, software, and services for
pre-K through postgraduate education. Mc Graw is able to build a good name of the company in
the market with the help of the quality of the product and service which is offered by the
company in the market. In the recent past it has been identified that the cases are not at all same
as there are variety of the different type of the issue which is faced by the company in the current
scenario. This issue has created the variety of the issue for organization, hence it has become
very much important for them to understand the same and find out the solution of the same. Lack
of personalization in the product which is provided by the company in the market is one of the
biggest issue which is faced by the organization in long run (van Harten and et.al., 2020).
Issue Faced By Mcgraw-Hill
There are three different type of issue which is faced by Mc Graw in the long run. All the three
type of issue which is faced by Mc Graw Hill education is as follows:
Student preparation: It is the first issue which is faced by Mc Graw Hill in the current
scenario. It had been understood that Mc Graw Hill is facing the issue in regards of
preparing the student for the college. It had been analyzed that Mc Graw hill generally

used to provide the material to the student which used to help them in their studies but
not in their college (Leroy and et.al., 2018). As company feels that all the student
generally used to has different sort of thinking process and way of carrying out their
activity. Hence, Mc Graw used to think that they are not able to personalize the
experience of the student in a way that it used to help them in preparing for the college as
well.
Retention Rate: It is another sort of issue which is faced by organization, in the official
comment which was made by management of Mc Graw hill, it was identified that they
are facing the issue of retaining the customer for the longer period of time in the market.
One of the reason which has been identified behind the same is the same which is of first
issue. As it has been identified that interest level of customer is decreasing as there is lack
of personalization which generally lacks in the lectures which are provided by Mc Graw
Hill institution in the market. This ultimately used to drive the customer to look at
alternative. At the same time it had been also understand that rate or price of Mc Graw
Hill lectures are very high as compare to the competitor in the market. Hence, it used to
get it very difficult for the company to maintain and retain the customer base of the
company for longer period of time.
Building student career readiness: It is another sort of issue which has been identified
by Mc Graw hills. It has been find out that student or the customer of the company are
trusting the company in regards of building their personal and professional career.
After understanding the issue which are faced by Mc Graw Hill it had been analyzed that the
institution is facing the issue of providing the personalized education to the customer in the
market. This used to create the issue for the company in retaining the student for the longer
period of time and also building good student career (e Cunha and et.al., 2020). Building student
career is one of the goal of the business as well. This two issue has created the third issue for the
company as student are not finding it easy to prepare for college at all. Hence, Mc Graw has to
make sure that they are bringing the different sort of change in the organization in term of
improving the level of personalization education to the customer in the market.

Solution of the issue faced
After going through the variety of the different solution which are available in front of
organization. Partnershiping with different education providing institute will be the best option
for organization to overcome the same solution in the market. Mc graw hills had to make sure
that they used to partnership with the different college in general to understand the different
characteristic of customer and on basis of same should solve the issue which is faced by them
(Podgorodnichenko, Edgar and McAndrew, 2020). Some of the benefit which will be seen by the
organization by implementing the same solution is as follows:
Able to understand the student need and preference: By partnershiping with the different
college in the market, organization will find it way easy to understand the need and preference of
the student in the better way possible. Understanding need and preference will bring the variety
of the different type of benefit for the organization. As understanding the need and preference
will help the company in upgrading the different lecture in the market in a way that it used to
help the student in building good career on the basis of the same. It had been identified that due
to non-personalization in the education of the student there is issue which is faced by the
organization in the face of non-preparation for the college for the student.
Help in building: Another benefit which will be seen by all the organization in the market
will be in regards of building trust with the student in the market. As it has been identified that
all the student generally looks for the institution which generally helps them in more than one
aspect. Hence applying this decision will ultimately help the organization in building good
relationship with the student in the market. This will ultimately help the company in managing
and retaining the student for longer period of time. This is very good sign for the company, as all
the organization is facing this sort of the issue in the market.
CONCLUSION
After going through the issue which are faced by the organization and providing the
solution to the organization as well. It has been identified that Competition and lack of
personalization are two of the main issue which is faced by the organization in the current
scenario. For improving the same partnershiping with different institution will be the best option
in front of organization.
