Introduction
Maryland Technology Consultant (MTC) is considered to be a successful IT consulting
firm that haven proven its worth in the business field by providing proper and efficient working
stature. This section ensures that the management of the IT methodologies are performed in a
proper manner. This section ensures the fact that the operational process, the organization falls
under the small to mid tier business organization. The customer base that it has is equivalent to
that of many non profit organization, local government and federals that will be providing a
better assessment of the working process of the MTC organization. The major works that are
performed by MTC organization are namely providing IT consulting, IT outsourcing and
Business process consulting. They have been providing some extra ordinary service to their
clients. MTC have been founded in the year 2008, in the month of May. They have headquarter
located in Baltimore, which is again in Maryland. The total number of employees who have been
working in the organization is 450. The total annual gross revenue that is collected in the
operational process of MTC have been $95,000,000.
Business purpose
The business process of MTC organization can be diversified in 3 major sections. The sections
are as follows: -
ï‚· Business Process Consultancy: The business processes that are considered by MTC are
namely providing consultancy regarding the business process redesigning process.
Another aspect that is considered in the section is that proper assessment of the process
improvement is also made. Providing with better ideas for the operational process have
been yet another aspect that is to be considered in the process.

ï‚· IT Outsourcing Consultancy: In this section requirement analysis of the projects of
different clients are performed. Evaluation of the vendors have been yet another aspect
that is to be considered. Assessment of due diligence, selection and performance
management is also performed. Service level agreements are also provided in the process.
Environment
The working environment of MTC have been very lean in nature. They are not heavily
stuffed with IT machineries. All the prospects that will be acting beneficial in the process is that
the employees have the zeal to grow as a unit. Another aspect that is to be considered in the
process is that the higher authority has the understanding of the business process and are open to
information and advices. The openness to new introductions have been one of the major aspects
that are considered in the process. These are the aspects that have been ensuring that the
organization have been in a constant growth stage. The working process of the organization is
also very well planned as they have initially planned that they will be growing at a constant rate
of 7% of next few years. They have been highly reluctant in analyzing the working evaluation of
the employees and hence wise the higher authority understands the need of technology
incorporation process.

Current challenges
The major challenges that are present in the operational process of the organization is die
ti the fact that the business have been growing at a constant rate. This growth in the
organizational structure ensures that there will be a higher requirement of hiring new IT
consultants to support the entire process. This section ensures that there will be a requirement of
a higher number of employees for accomplishment of the different tasks that will come in the
process. It have been seen that there have been a requirement of 75 new employees for
completion of 2 new projects.
Strategic Use of Technology
Business Strategy
Manual processing of recruitment have been falling short of the efficiency that is required
for excess recruitment in very less time. Hence there is a requirement of implementing IT based
hiring system. It is expected that with the implementation of the IT hiring system, the entire
efficiency of the hiring process will be decreasing. There is an urgent need of recruiting over 75-
150 new employees for the 2 new projects that they have undertaken. CV selection process is
also performed in a better manner and the time that is required for the shortlisting process gets
decreased.
Competitive advantage
With the help of the online recruiting process system being set up, the main benefit that is
received in the process is that the hiring process have been getting performed in a manner that
ensures that the most capable applicants are chosen in least time (Leung et al., 2020). Hence it
can be said that with better employees on board and hence wise there is a better assessment of
