CE 3.1 Project Information

CE 3.2 Project Background
CE 3.2.1 Characteristics of the project
The organisation where I had worked North Tay Est. The organisation was targeted
mainly in the working procedure of the production of concrete and wood for the whole sale
contractor dispatching. They would then eventually ship the products to other countries. Rocks
and raw materials were brought into the company and processed to produce building materials.
CE 3.2.2 Objectives developed for the project
During my working at the company I had proposed the following objectives:
 To improve the plant productivity
 To control the costs
 To have good employee relationship

 To follow all the safety compliance of the industry
CE 3.2.3 My area of work
For the project I was in charge of producing the documentation of the work that I was
doing in the company. The process flow analysis and the attending the weekly meetings were a
part of my job profile during my working time on the project. During my six months of working
in the company I had learned a lot of things and understood the role of a production engineer.

CE 3.2.5 My responsibilities throughout the project
During my time of work at the North Tay Est I had effectively created and managed
production documentation for management team as required. I was also in charge of inspection
of materials, rocks, concrete and wood with project inspection department on a regular basis. I
had conducted the process flow analysis and the attended the weekly meetings. I had learned a
lot of things and gained experience on the role of a production engineer
CE 3.3 Distinctive Activity
CE 3.3.1 Comprehending the theory of the project
To understand the working procedure of the project I had studied books and working
journals on the machines. This helped me to understand the procedures and the problems which
are associated with the machines. I had looked after the workers and also on the production line
machines in the industry.
CE 3.3.2 Engineering knowledge and skills applied in the project
During the time I was in the company I had used my skills of a production engineer to
complete my project objectives. The knowledge which I had was helpful and later on had found
new experience in the field of a production engineer.
CE 3.3.3 Accomplishment and task performed
I was able to effectively created and manage production documentation for management
team as required. This helped me to convey the working procedure which was being followed in
the company to my seniors. I had successfully inspected materials rocks, concrete and wood with
project inspection department on a regular basis. For the better productivity of the materials and

the output. I had also taken up the responsibility of promptly notifying the authorities about
equipment malfunction incident. This helped me in keeping the work environment safe for the
workers. I had also efficiently worked across functions to improve operations, such as
completing shipping duties as required and others.
CE 3.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions
The issue of not able to instantly understand the working procedure of the company was
my biggest issue. I had asked my supervisor for a tour guide about the different machines that is
being used on the work place and he readily accepted my proposal. To coordinate the team
which I was in charge and to make them understand the work flow which I was suggesting was
time consuming but I was able to achieve the mark.
CE 3.3.5 Plan to produce creative and innovative work
For the duration of my working I had conducted several meetings with my teammates to
understand the problems which might be there in the workplace environment. These problems
were then conveyed to the higher authorities to mitigate the problems. I had conducted separate
meetings with my supervisor to discuss the different working procedures that is being followed
in the company.
CE 3.3.6 Collaborative work
I had worked alongside my team mates for the working duration at the company. My
project supervisor had helped me to understand the working procedure of the company during
my initial phase at the company. All work details were shared among my team members and
with my project supervisor.

CE 3.4 Project Review
CE 3.4.1 Project Overview
I was able to complete the working objectives which I was given. The workers and my
team mates followed my direction to make the project flow proper. I had supervised the working
procedure of the processes in the plant. The technology that was in use in the plant was
completely new to me. My supervisor had helped me to understand the working of each of the
machines. This helped me to gain knowledge about different machines and also helped to follow
the working of the machines. If any problem arose I was able to mitigate the risk easily.
CE 3.4.2 My contribution to work
During my time of work at the North Tay Est I had effectively created and managed
production documentation for management team as required. I was also in charge of inspection
of materials, rocks, concrete and wood with project inspection department on a regular basis. To
keep a safe environment around the work place I had promptly notified equipment malfunction
incident to the manager, senior officer or specialist as required. I had also completed shipping
duties as required and worked across functions to improve operations of the company.
