information from a Project Management perspective

I have experience in mechanical engineering and an interest in quality management. I am
unemployed and therefore cannot do an employer-based project. The university has
accepted my request to perform a literature review of the management of quality in
mechanical engineering projects. Quality Management has been always a considerable
factor for the successful and efficient delivery of the mechanical engineering projects.
There are many theories presented by scholarly researchers in this context however, the
researchers have not provide higher concentration on the quality management in the
quality sectors. Very few papers available on the context of the quality management in the
mechanical engineering projects and thus, various aspects of the quality and its
management in the context of the mechanical engineering.

The company has been delivering the railway locomotives in Australia and it is the
aim of the company to provide and deliver the best wagon and locomotive
productions. The quality management will be helpful in enhancing and implementing

consideration in the context of the quality of the production and safety of the
individuals. The company had been continuously evolving and thus, raising its
competitors and the quality needs to be maintained considering the internal and
external environment of the organization.

Success Criteria: The Gaps will be identified through the literature review and thus, a survey can be
driven for the identification of the customers’ perspective on the same context.
Resources: Human Resources including manager, supervisor, employees staffs, people, space to
meet and access to a computer & internet, database management system, on site
protective dresses.
Linkages: There are the opportunities for this project for gaining the advantage of providing
high quality materials, locos, and wagons to the society and enhancing the awareness
of safety among the staffs working in the same environment. This project will be
helpful in driving opportunities for the project through linking the key performance
indicator, safety of the staffs and employees working on-site, enhancing the
awareness, securing the local community, and providing the high quality product and
services.
