Executive Summary
It is totally related to the mechanical engineering. It is used for highlighting the practical
experiences within SWARS in Sydney. It is done at the end of the semester. I performed
various types of mechanical engineering projects. It was done during the training. It has
tendering, estimation and many others.
My friend told me about this company. He is an employee of the adminsitartive office of the
company.I applied for this company with the help of email and they called me to attend the
interview round. I started my internship within this company on 8th July, 2019. I completed
my training on 8-10-2019.
During training the company gave various chances in mechanical engineering as well as
Australia stage 1 competencies. I completed those assignments within sixty two days and
eight hours in a day.
I involved myself in many tasks of mechanical engineering like contact administration,
contact and setting up meeting with the city councils and many others. They gave me the
change to perform structural as well as civil works and initial design of the latest projects of
the company. It helped me to enhance multiple skills required for the industry.

1 Introduction
1.1 Detailed discussion regarding the company
SWARS International Consulting Engineers provides various services to their clients of
Australia, Indonesia, Dubai, Kuwait since 2008. The experts of the company are assisting
the client. They can manage the financial risk of the project. They give third party
certification.
For last twenty years, they are giving trading services. Because of that, they have huge
experiences in this particular sector. They have the ability to design the building, highway,
advantages of development and planning for the maintenance of railway tracks. This
company builds efficient engineers. They provide the services as the client’s requirements.
For example, they develop various school and university projects within Australia, Indonesia,
Dubai and South Korea. They are jointly managing the construction project. They are very
popular in many activities.

Detailed regarding the job
My job role was an intern engineer and started by work on 8-7-2019. The company provided
me many opportunities for performing the project. They have more than one assignment.
Among them many are allocated to me. Small information regarding the projects are:
 Contract administration
 Organising meetings
 Many civil, and structural assignments
 Initial design for the projects
 Inspections of various sites
 Performing the tendering and estimation of the projects

2 Elaboration of mechanical engineering
During the training period, they gave me many projects. My responsibility is to conduct a
team. It gathers all the data and logs of summary of the field data and performs some
mathematical calculation. Projects are usually performed with the help of AUTOCAD tool. It
is performed with the help of by using graphic display and representation of materials. I
assisted the team of Solar Panel Design projects. I went to those construction sites and
attended a meeting before the submission of tender.
First Week: Introduction
 gave an idea about the company
 Arrangement of safety session and maintenance of health
 Arrangement of environmental and quality session.
 Giving login details to all the companies for tendering and other websites.
In the first week of the internship, I went through many subjects in mechanical engineering
discipline. The projects are Air Conditioning, railway projects, building projects and many
others. In these projects, I learned about the scope of work, establishment design
requirements, generation many plans for budgets, compilation of the necessary documents
and many others. At the end of the first week, I learned to work for civil engineering
discipline. Team leaders, project managers and other civil engineers are attached to this
project.
Week 2
 Giving review of financial reports and presentation skills.
 Building confidence among the employees for performing well in workplace.
Week 3
 Arrangement of day-to-day meetings. In this project, my responsibility was sending
message to all the employees regarding the meeting.
 Involving in interactions, raising questions and providing feedbacks.
Experiences helped to adopt the exact work culture in an Australian company. Many
procedures are available for mechanical engineering disciplines. In this company, I
enhanced my skill in mechanical engineering and provided international reputation of the
clients.
Fourth to eight week
 Tender and bidding for Solar Panel Project.
It was executed at Maruabra Bay Public School. The capacity of Solar Panel was 36.14 KW.
 Giving large budget for tendering

In this report, I have included the budget for one project. The project is about the solar
design and installation of Solar Panel Design and Installing of Solar Panel for Maroubra Bay
Public School. The assigned quotation for this project is $72133.00 and it is done after the
consideration of the small scale Technology Certificate. The expenditure of the project is
$39058.00. This is the result after the inclusion of GST.
 examination of tender
 Inspection of the site at 138 Lansdownie roads and 288 military Road.
I have included many images the project sites. At the time of visiting, site supervisor told
me about the advantages of Personal Proactive Equipments. It was linked with safety
purpose. Overall, it is a good experience.
Week 9
 At Week nine, the installing of solar panel at Kogarah High School and Maroubra Bay
Public School was performed. The project was connected with structural engineering,
design and supply and installation of the solar grids of 55kW PV. Within three weeks
it was completed. It was attached in the Appendix.
 Another project was Lansdownie Road Canley Vale and 288 Military roads
Cremorne.
 At the time of internship, I learned tendering procedure of Australia.
 At the time of internship, they gave me many chances of learning of many other than
engineering.
3 Analysis of Mechanical Experience
In this internship, I learn many concepts of mechanical engineering. After completion
of the projects, I gained lots of technical knowledge in mechanical knowledge. They
provided me sufficient knowledge regarding the writing of reports and management of
many assignments. I learned the tendering procedure and problem solving strategies in
Australia. I got my engineering degree from an Australian university and worked in a
Australian company. During internship, I got practical experiences. This report will
provide several advantages of studying engineering in Australia.
At the time of internship, I learned latest technologies and creative work. In the middle of this
internship, I had to complete the assignments within the assigned deadline. I faced lots
pressure and challenges. Within this time, I learned some inter-personal skills, verbal and
written communications. I was familiar with these skills.
 At the time of Automatic Bead Ball Bearing Sorting Machine and its approval, I studied CAD
software and other tools. These are included in engineering syllabus. While doing the other
projects of mechanical engineering, I learned Visual Basic Application Software. I learned
Pneumatic Vibratory Screw Feeder Bowl tendering performed by the company.
With the help the technical skills, I got many practical experiences in graduation and post-
graduation level. I got real life working facility in Australia. This could help me to achieve at

the international level. During internship, I learned the loopholes between theoretical and
practical work. It is expected that you must know regarding the application of the procedures.
While working, I learnt many skills that were required for corporate.
4 Reflection on Engineers Australia Stage 1 Competencies
4.1 Knowledge and skill base
4.1.1 Understanding based on theory
In my experience, I learned some basic experiences about fundamental techniques
and working mechanism. It is important to know much information regarding the
mechanical engineering. In this particular case, the theoretical knowledge plays an
important role for the execution of a project. I learned regarding the design and drafting
of the projects. These were most important. It is very important for a person to know the
entire project initially and then try to finish all required parts of engineering.
4.1.2 Understanding based on concepts
During internship, I got knowledge of computer software and calculation procedure.
With the help of these, it is very easy to understand various areas of the project. It also
provides the total calculation. It is very easy to correct data within a smaller period of
time. With the help of this software, we can calculate results. Projects can be executed.
During engineering, I learned about advanced technologies. During execution,
conceptual knowledge is very important.
4.1.3 Detailed understanding
During internship, I designed draft of report and progress of whole report. I need to
think analytically so that I can manage all the issues in future. I must have detailed
knowledge. For that reason, the project executes very fast. The engineers must have
knowledge regarding act, law and many others.
4.1.4 Judgement regarding the knowledge
During of my internship, my team gave a brief idea about the company. They helps
me to learn the opportunities, quality plan, safety and assignment condition. They
provided a huge number of sessions regarding client handling. They provided enough
sessions for tendering procedure and communication skills. It gives me lots of helps and
guidance at the time of internship. I learn regarding the professional report. I learn
regarding the estimation, employee management and material management. It helps me

to become more professional in mechanical engineering. e-tendering is very popular in
Australia.
Before starting any project every person should do any research. The economic,
social and environmental feasibility of a project in Australia are very important. In
engineering, knowledge and research guide are two important factors.
4.1.5 Knowledge of engineering design and contractual factors
At the time of my internship, I used my conceptual knowledge. I performed some
calculation of mathematics.
I have provided the data in a tabular format. I highlighted all the sub-sections of the
projects. In this project, I collected several sources from text books. With the help of
internet, I learned the Australian project guidelines. Object rejection and counting
machine, stepper motor control, motorized object and lifting jack are used in this project.
4.1.6 Understanding of scope, principle and other factors
At the time of internship, I came to know regarding various factors of the industry.
For development of Australia, there are many scopes in the engineering discipline. It
mainly included, transport, building and many more things. Sustainable growth is a very
important factor of Australia. It increased the opportunity of the sustainability of those
projects. During this internship, I came to know various regulation of Australia regarding
the implementation of a project. Many projects are environmentally friendly. If you want
them proper development of a country then sustainable development can be great
factor. This is the most important point which I learnt during the internship.
4.2 Capability of applying the engineering
4.2.1 Implementation of sophisticated engineering approach
In general, there will be various issues faced by the client. I highlighted this problem
to my team at the time of the project. This was occurred when I engaged in material
handling, robotic arm. At this time, I faced lots pressure and challenges for resolving the
issues of this project. I recorded several change requests for the consumer.
Implementation of the popular engineering methodologies is the most important part.

4.2.2 Efficient application of several engineering techniques
During internship, I communicated many persons of the project. At the time of
projects, I used Matlab software. During the valuation, I used the Microsoft related
software.
4.2.3 Implementation of correct engineering procedures
In the area of engineering, there were some skills which helped them to enhance
their knowledge for several procedures. As a trainee engineer, most of the assignments
are totally related to the development and daily meeting. If problems were highlighted
then I raised it with my team leader. I followed all the rules stipulated by the company.
4.2.4 Implementation of several strategies for continuing the engineering
projects
It is very important for to execute the projects with help of Australian guidelines. Initial
information requires various sources of knowledge. It will help to provide successful
career. Team management is very important. With the help of this, a person can gain
success. It motivates the employees at the time of project. It also gives some positive
outcomes in the project. My supervisor helps for motivating and involves me in the
project. It helps to learn many new aspects of the project. At the time of internship, I
learned various managerial skills.
4.3 Personal and professional factors
4.3.1 Ethical conduct and professional accountability
In every job, there is a many rules. These are as follows:

4.3.2 Efficient verbal as well as oral communication
In engineering sector, many communication strategies are used like email, face to
face and telephonic. During my internship, I used email and telephones. These were the
most efficient one. I daily meeting for project discussion.
4.3.3 Becoming creative and innovative engineer
At the time of designing, we must have a creative nature so that we can meet the
client’s expectation. Similarly, we have to memorize the rules of the company. If any
problem happens, then we need to resolve this issue.

4.3.4 Professional use and information management
The company gave me lots of chances to access many confidential resources. From
this, I learned professional work and information management. It helped me to become
more professional in mechanical engineering.
4.3.5 Self-management and professional conduct
Engineer must be disciplined. During internship, I have to organise meeting. During
the meeting, many points are highlighted. I worked hard in this project. During the
internship, I made myself creative and innovative. I learned new skills.
4.3.6 Efficient leadership and membership within a team
All the project members must work as a team for finishing of the project. During
working, I learned regarding the team management. I learned that, a good team
member would enhance the performance of team. Efficiency is very important for the
work.
5. Conclusions
In this company, I learned technical and time management skills. It is a very
important part of a professional engineer. I learnt how to tackle the work pressure and
challenges. In this case, we must highlight our professionalism.
