ARTICLE ON MEDIA BIAS

This article precisely talks about how Bernie Sanders is a constant victim of media
bias as far the representation of journalists and reporters is concerned. I believe that the
intention of the paper is that it has probably not been intended by the reporters to have
demeaned him. For me it is his consecutive under performances that have led the reporters to
leave his side and support his opponent, namely, Pete Buttigieg. I observe Buttigieg’s picture
was posted because of his overwhelming performance. No harm was intended to reduce the
reputation of Sanders. However, my concern is how the writer of the article clearly
announces that he had been constantly told to talk about Pete Buttigieg in an exalted way is
an ultimate picture of revealing media bias. The changed headline next morning made me
clearly understand how this bias works.
As far as I understood the situation it seems to be problematic because this
controversy is taken up to a level where the supporters of Sanders were also confused about
whether to take his side or not. I just realized that even after winning in New Hampshire it
has been a prevalent issue with Sanders to get victimized. The only thing I understood is he
would not receive any appreciation. The victory for Sanders for me is a threat for his
ambiguous future. I am extremely intrigued because of the existence of politics throughout.
This also shows me how media tries to shape the minds of the audience without even letting
them know. The media penetrates the minds of human audience and manipulates them with
the application of bias in the representation of the news in a flamboyant way.
Although the title of the article puts a question mark to welcome the opinions of the
audience yet I do not think it has nothing but one intention to victimize Sanders throughout.
When his victory could not be accepted normally, I noticed that the media can take anybody’s
side but Sanders. However, I observed that some news papers could not be enough influenced
by the ongoing bias and came up with the truth. One thing that shocked me is that the
supporters were not really moved by the media representation of Sander’s image. They voted
him like they had decided beforehand.
It has been observed by me that I have not faced any problem in understanding the
article since it is filled with examples. I could anticipate how his nomination too has been
doubted. The article indicative of my doubts is clear of how this media bias works on
multiple levels. Now my bothering question is if sanders comes out as a winner is that going
to change the chain of hatred and will be placed on somebody else? The way the media bias
works is explicitly clear for me throughout this article.
I believe that this is a well crafted article replete with information from different
newspapers to justify the entire topic that the article is concerned about. I see this article has
picked up Sanders to treat him as trash to throw here and there but this also taught me how it
can change with time and situation claiming media bias to be true concern.
