The similarities between the advertising and public relations are that both are the
persuasive medium of communication to the general public regarding the transmission of an
idea or thought. The advertsing itself is a by-product of the public relations where the
celebrities, government and big corporate agencies uses the tool of advertising to reach the
mass audience through various techniques of advertising be it internet, newspaper or
telelvison media. The differences between them lie in the way of approach to the audience.
The advertising messages are fixed and directed towards a cause with focus to persuade the
audience and otivated them to commit a necessary action. However, public relations contains
flexible approach of providing the message with not an intention to motivate consumers to
perform an action, but to increase the visibility and reach of personal exposure to the
audience through thought, values and beliefs. The issue in advertsing industry relating to
skepticism from public is the manipulation of consumer’s mind towards purchasing a
product. The false projection of stereotypical thinking and the aggressiveness of maketing
with high internsity than the competitors lie in the industry1. The issue in public relations
industry relating to skepticism from public is the over attention seeking behavior of
celebrities and the companies ruling the media with their own portrayal of goodwill and
brand representation to reach and gain social approval from the public. The skepticism is
justified in each case as the advertising industries often use the women in 80% of the ads for
projection and marketing of products with skin and body strerotypical values attached to it.
The celebrities however try to project their self brand image through social media like
Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and take part in social campaigns as for publicity.

The rise of negligence of parents and the teengaers getting highly addicted to the violent and
misogynist games with male teengaers majorly in the population effect the digital gaming

make them perform illegal activities often. The specific economic pressures that have
shaped the sound recording industry are the illegal swapping of music files of MP3 format

board for copyright of music. The regulation authorities watch over these industries with the
entertainment census bureau. The way these industries changed and weatherd the economic
pressures is through application of the various acts and the legal policies in the violation and
copyright issues. The digital gaming industry imposed rated games to be purchased with
checking of content, dialogue and the character, story as per the age group of people playing
it. The sound industry imposed copyright issues with authorization in downloading music
files like iTunes of Apple which have subscription fee to leaglly purchase the music files3.

coverage of news by the press editors and journalists depends a lot on the social steps,
campaigns and the steps taken by many insitutions, however the power of information rests
on these bodies of communication where a democratic country looks for such real
information happening across the country by the ruling parties like bureaucrats, government
and the industrial companies4. The legal issue which the journalists have to face in providing
the information to the public is the liberal conflict between the political coverage and the
various laws under which the sensitive and confidential data are restricited to produce
although they are true facts. The ethical issue which the journalists have to face in prviding
the information to the public is the withholding of information from the public from the
situational ethics point of view. The political leaders and the influence of government make
the journalists project a false image and product those facts which are scandals and conflict
related. These issues are important as the sufferings of general public are often ignored in a
