Report
AI Summary
This report details a marketing plan focusing on two key areas: promoting cloth swap parties to encourage sustainability and developing a marketing strategy for Whole Foods Market's expansion into Australia. The cloth swap party section outlines the initiative's goals (reducing waste, promoting recycling, and decreasing new clothing purchases), target audience (women in a local area), and implementation plan (community venue provision, email invitations, clear rules). The Whole Foods Market section analyzes the company's background, competition (Sprouts Farmers Markets and Trader Joe's), and long-term strategy. It also addresses employee concerns following Amazon's acquisition and proposes a blog-based marketing strategy targeting health-conscious consumers, featuring organic recipes and natural exercises.

Week 7
Client: Sustainability Manager for a local Council
Objective: Encourage women in the local area to hold clothes swap parties
Task
The client of this particular task is the sustainability manager who is quite interested in
promoting and supporting the initiative of clothes swap/ exchange parties with regards to
minimize the waste and then encourage recycling along with the intention to lessen the
purchase of new items. The name of the sustainability manager for the local council is David
Jones. I also intend to choose to partner with an NGO present in Australia who has the same
views and the NGO am “XYZ” and from this NGO Miss Kelly will be the representative. As
a sustainability manager on the behalf of the council magazine, I want to request all the ladies
in the area to come forward for the cloth swap parties. Please note that the females who are
interested in the cloth swap parties will be getting the community venues absolutely for free
by the council. I look forward to your co-operation ahead below-mentioned points are some
of the ways by which I can inform you all about the importance of the cloth swap parties
(Rathinamoorthy, Surjit and Karthik 2017).
Cloth swap parties
The cloth swap parties are mainly when the attendees are agreed to bring a reasonable
amount of clothing and accessories to the said event. The main motive for the cloth swap
parties revolve around bartering, trading and donating clothes while bringing something new
stuff in the closet. However, this cloth swap party is intended towards minimizing the waste,
encouraging the theme of recycling and also to request the females to reduce their motive

towards purchasing new items every now and then. There is an old saying that strongly
indicates that someone’s trash is another person’s treasure.
The need for cloth swap parties and the benefit of cloth swap parties
Every country should encourage the cloth swap parties because of some of the reasons. One
of the main reasons for the cloth swap parties is to help the people and the environment at the
same time. Firstly, cloth swap parties will encourage people not to buy clothes or accessories
unnecessarily but to donate their clothes who are in real need of those. Secondly, swap parties
also tend to encourage the entire concept of recycling because it encourages the idea of
reusing the other items again and again. It is environmentally friendly as well as it helps a lot
of people (Armstrong and et al., 2016). Lastly, the main aim of the cloth swap parties is
mainly to encourage the people mostly the females not to buy the items that are not necessary
to them. Hence, as a sustainability manager, I completely feel that the cloth swaps party is an
absolute necessity and it will be also beneficial.
The ways by which the cloth swap party will take place
I am quite sure that by now the females are interested with the idea of the cloth swap party so
I would like them to go through the process by which the cloth swap party will be taking
place. There is a popular saying that does well and feels good!
Firstly, the interested invites will be chosen on certain criteria. However, women ranging
from each and every size are highlights encouraged to participate in this swap parties for
making it successful.
Secondly, there will be some rules for the swap and the invites will be sent out via email or in
the invitation a week prior to the event.

Thirdly, as the suitability manager for the local council, I will be also making sure that
everyone is aware of the rule.
Week 10
Concept- Writing for a digital and another medium
This section will completely revolve around writing one or more than one blog posts for the.
It has been observed that The American premium grocery supplier Whole Foods Market is
planning to come to Australia for expanding their market.
The company dates back in the year 1980 where their journey in a small store located in
Austin. At present, the company is regarded as the leader in the organic and natural food
products and they have almost 490 stores itself in U.K. and North America.
After looking at the website and their Facebook page it can be said that the company visually
looks quite promising and colorful. In their website, we can see that there are some of the
pictures regarding fresh vegetables that give the visitors an idea about what a good life
mainly begins with the thought of eating well. Moreover, the pictures of the company’s
website also suggest that they do not use artificial colors, flavors, along with sweeteners and
preservatives. The company has a strong mission of not selling the products that do not meet
the standards (Johnston and Szabo, 2011).
The main competition for the Whole Foods Market is Sprouts Farmers Markets (SFM) and
Trader Joe's. The long-term strategy of the company is convincing the individuals in terms of
paying more for natural and organic foods and they have been quite successful in this

segment also. Observing this company their strong competitors are also charging their
consumers with the premium amount with regards to the organic food items.
The Whole Foods Market has been acquired by Amazon in the year 2017, and the employees
are in the huge amount of dilemma because of these changes. Amazon at present is trying to
change the workers like a robot as claimed by them. However, the latest news also informs
that the employees are not ready to open their mouth in front of the media because they think
that Amazon will sack them. However, an inside source revealed that some of their
employees quoted that Amazon is squeezing the workers to a great extent and they hardly
gave any notice to the workers whenever they make any kind of alterations. Some of the
employees also said that the reduction in labor and the short staffing has fostered an
environment where the workers at the Whole Foods Market are struggling a lot in terms of
completing their duties.
The blog will be targeting the people who are health cautious, prefers organic foods over the
processed and artificial foods. The blog in terms of different content will also try to provide
new organic recipes for their visitors every week that will motivate them to stay highly
committed with the organic food segment i.e., the company (Fung and et al., 2016). Another
content the blog will be providing is also some of the natural exercises that can be also
termed as the organic exercises that can be performed by the individuals without going to the
gym. Only consuming organic food and doing some natural exercises will help them to lead a
healthy life.
