murder, rape, domestic violence, child abuse, threats and harassments, etc. It covers or report all
the type of offences to make the citizens informed. The media gave a positive as well as the
negative effect on the crime rate and also on the aggressive behaviour of the public. It is one of
the debatable subject that have a contradictory point of view which means that media act as an
important variable that have the power to influence the other variables of the society. The main
aim or the focus of the media coverage is about the crime related stories. Sometimes media
present the reports in such a way that effect the feelings of the citizens and can represent the
offence in a wrong way or manner (Choi, Yim and Hicks, 2020). Many news about the crimes
are boasted by the media reports that gave a negative impact on the society or the whole world.
On the other hand it makes the people aware about the crimes and also suggest the ways of
protection.
