Project
AI Summary
This project presents a comprehensive system design for Family First Medical Center, a healthcare provider with multiple centers. It begins with an executive summary and delves into the acquisition strategy for implementing a computer-based system to replace manual record-keeping, focusing on the spiral acquisition model and key business considerations. The architectural design outlines the system's components, followed by detailed hardware and software specifications. The assignment also includes interface design elements, interface structure diagrams, user interface flow, and wireframe diagrams for adding employees and patients and viewing pharmacy revenue. Furthermore, the program design is described and structure charts are provided for processes like pharmacy license renewal, patient treatment, and nurse license renewal, alongside program specifications and references.

Executive Summary
The
Family First Medical Center is a health provider organization where they have various
health centers that offer medical care to the patients. The organization has various employees

who include the nurses and doctors where some are permanent while other are contracted

employees. The organization also has the pharmaceutical services where the patients are

provided with the prescribed drugs by the doctors, however the drugs and other facilities are kept

inventory where the reduced inventory stock prompts the pharmacists to order more stock from

the suppliers. The supplier’s details and the supplied stock is captured in the records.

In this report there are various aspect covered which includes the Acquisition Strategy ,

Architectural Design, Hardware and Software Specification, Interface Design, Interface Structure

Diagram, User Interface Flow, Wireframe diagrams, Program Design, Structure Chart, Program

Specifications.

Acquisition Strategy
Currently the hospital is keeping their records in manual form that makes them to face challenges

in record keeping, retrieving, trucking and updating, however the management has a high chance

of losing their records. The hospital management had therefore opted to implement a computer

based system to reduce those challenges and to make the operations more efficient and effective

and therefore this report will describe the proposed system acquisition strategy.

The acquisition strategy for the hospital information management system is a the top level

roadmap that will be used in providing the guidance on the acquisitions of the system and as a

result enable the acquisition process to be successful in terms of costs, schedules,
delivery
capabilities, and qualities. The process has a wide life cycle that entails the initiating acquisition

through sustainment and focuses on highlighting and management of risk to get successful

system acquisitions out comes.

The below is the developed system acquisition strategies where the key system acquisition

components are highlighted , the selected acquisition strategy is used to control and to reduce

risks while acquiring along with other selected risks management and mitigations processes.

Acquisition Life

Cycle Models

This is the lifecycle model that is going to be used in the acquisition of the

proposed hospital system in order to achieving full capabilities, and tailoring

the model to provide proposed program specific requirements. The

development team had therefore opted to use the spiral acquisition model

where three major steps will be involved like the evolutionary definitions,

developments, and deployments.

Businesses

Considerations

This is the description of proposed businesses strategies and constraints, the

provision of competitor’s information, collaborations, regulations and

statutory concerns, the solicitations and supplier selections approaches.

There system project management team had desired to use the system that is

custom developed hardware and software which will be developed by in-

house team, however the supply of their required items will be mainly done

in a competitive method.

Applicable Best

Practices

This is the definition of the approaches that will be used in selection an

application of the appropriate developments and acquisitions’ best practice

and also the reviewing of the best practices in the decisions making and

identification of initial sets of best practice to apply. Therefore the project

team had decided to use the most appropriate method in development and

management of the system functional requirements, programs plans,

suppliers monitoring, and risks managements.

Managements
refining, controlling, and resolving conflicts that are related to the system
requirements. Therefore through this the management team will be able to

identify the system requirements tools, and expected structures, contents and

specifications rules for system requirements.

Tests and

Evaluations

This is the definition of the tests and evaluations strategies which are

integrated with various activities in the entire acquisition life cycle. The

management had however selected the various tests and evaluations events

that require to be designed in order to provide information concerning the

risks, provision of empirical data that will be used in validating the models

and simulation, evaluation of technical performances and system’s maturity,

and determination of the system operations effectiveness, suitability and

survivability against any possible threat.

Risks

Managements

This involves the establishment of the risk management approaches that is

used in the identification and management of the uncertainty while

achieving the programs goals and the objectives that is within the

performance, costs, and schedules constraints, it also good in the

identification of the initial risks area, and the related risks mitigations plan.

The management team in this will use it in order have good risks

identifications ,analysis, mitigations plans, mitigation plans implementations

and tracking that is integrated with system engineer and program

managements and also including the risks of acquisitions and operation.
