INTRODUCTION
Ethics refers to a system of moral principle which is concerned with good for individual
or society. It also provides information about moral philosophy. Ethics plays an important role in
delivering health care services to patient. Medical law provides information use the ethical
practices and consideration to deliver effective healthcare services to the patient. Ethics and
medical law have various importance while delivering health care services to patient. In this
essay, there is discussion about importance of ethics and medical law. There is also a discussion
about characteristics of legal argument while following medical law and ethics. There is also a
discussion about strength and limitation of following ethics and medical law (Thakkar, (2018)).
MAIN BODY
Healthcare ethics plays an important role for delivering effective healthcare treatment to
patient in effective way. It takes a lot for healthcare professional to deliver health care and
treatment legally. They should provide respect and dignity to patient and deliver effective
treatment for improvement in patient's health. Medical low and ethics related with specific health
related issues generally in clinical case. Values are needed to decide the best course of action for
the patients for better health. Healthcare professional may face different type of ethical problem
while delivering healthcare services. This is a common problem which should be resolve as soon
as possible. There is need to use ethics for delivering effective healthcare to the patient. There
are some four basic values or principles that can help in deciding ethical issues. Autonomy is the
one in which patients basically provided the right to determine their healthcare. Justice is the one
which provide help to distinguish between benefits and burden. Beneficence allows healthcare
professional to doing good for their patient. Non-maleficence provide security that healthcare
professionals are not harming their patient while delivering healthcare treatment and services
(Schotland, (2020)).
Ethical standard helps to promote medical care. It has been observed that medical care
has been built on trust, communication and respect in between patient and medical team. So,
medical standard plays an important role in generating public support for healthcare. It also
provide public awareness and support to healthcare to promote ethical conduct within healthcare
while delivering healthcare treatment to their patient. Ethical standards also help to promote

social values and moral and help to collaborative work with various medical disciplines. It also
provide healthy healthcare environment to facilitate medical codes of ethics with fundamental
principle for delivering effective healthcare practices and medical care. There are also some
importance of ethical standards within medical care. Ethical standard helps to promote medical
care to decrease suffering. For example- When there is recruitment of highly qualified medical
personnel and when they are provided continuous training that can help to promote their skills
and knowledge within medical care. This helps them to minimize error in delivering healthcare
treatment and services. Medical care is build with the help of trust and communication between
healthcare professionals and patients. It promote values which is essential for effective
communication. Mutual respect, trust and accountability provides helpful in delivering ethical
medical care to patient. There is also need to protect confidentiality and privacy in respect of
patient (Ghedamu, (2019)). Ethical standards also help to built public support for medical care.
People pay large amount which need to promote trust and integrity for delivering effective
healthcare treatment to patient. For medical care, people started to pay after introduction of
revolving system in Sweden 1991. People like to donate for health facilities and also to sponsor
promoting programs. This made them to held accountable to their public. For example- Any
healthcare professional who works in public health facility, then he receive salary from public.
Healthcare professional who work in private clinic and hospital get paid by their patient.
There is variety of disciplines which need to follow to health care professional to make
their healthy work environment to deliver healthcare treatment with mutual respect to their
patient. Ethical standard has to promote collaborative work and cooperation while delivering
healthcare services. The different way through which society views attach which can affect
medical law and their implementation in society after sometime. Moral value changes and there
is need to change in the legislation. For example- In society, there is acceptance of abortion that
can help a woman to get alive. Then, there was introduction of abortion act. Similarly, ethical
changes are continuously changing their way and medical law is implemented effectively. So,
there is need to change medical law and ethics overtime and need to amend law along with
changes in policy making. This can help and support society to improve medical law to protect
patient live and help healthcare professional to deliver their services ethically.

Medical law refers to a fascinating field of a study related with Medical Research and
new technology with the boundary of medicine. There are different health related issues are
emerging and patients rights also increasing. This create complex medical legal dilemmas within
clinical practices. Medical law provide opportunity to follow these law ethically and enable
patient to get opportunity to examine healthcare policies and regulations. Medical law refers to a
body of law that concerns about the responsibility and rights of medical professionals along with
their patients. Medical law focuses on negligence, confidentiality and other treatment related
medical issues. It also deals with criminal laws and ethics (Kramer, (2021)).
Confidentiality- Medical law provides right to health care professional and their patient to
maintain confidentiality related with health. Healthcare providers should not share information
related with patient to the third party. Whenever, there is any situation to share the information,
there is need to get concern form the patient. Information related to patient can only be shared
with other healthcare professionals who are involved in delivering healthcare treatment that
patient or nursing staff for providing care. Confidentiality has been reinforced and provide
Health Insurance profitability and accountability act. It is design to deal with large number of
related issue which can increase the chances of losing protection through confidentiality of a
patient's medical or mental health records. This act required number of disclosure which ensures
that information should exchange in some specific situations. Those who violate this act, may
face significance liability (Grewal, (2020)).
Negligence- Any person who is diagnosing and treating any patient who has no any
professionalism in healthcare, then it can be included in medical malpractice. Due to this medical
malpractice, medical law has been enforced to decrease such type of negligence while delivering
diagnosis or treatment to the patient. When any healthcare professional found neglecting health
related concern or any type of negligence while delivering of treatment or during diagnosis can
face legal liability of medical law. For example- In the end of 21st century, it has been observed
that there are medical errors in large number. Healthcare professional were not providing
treatment with same reasons which has been recorded in previous generations. In this situation, it
has created situation of malpractice and healthcare professional lead to respect their patient and
provide effective healthcare treatment. They'll also need to get educated effectively to fulfill
patient demands for effective treatment. There was a medical law that when any patient claims
compensation when they get injured while receiving healthcare treatment due to clinical

negligence. This created a situation of old culture of difference to doctors. It was claimed that
doctor get replaced by new approaches and this approach reached the court which was
committed in 2001.
Crime and ethics- In recent year, criminal law and ethics has played a large role in
medical law. Fill Mills has created issues related with role of medical professionals within
trafficking of a controlled substance. This created criminal act for providing safety form any type
of crime-related with misuse of medicines or related crime. Healthcare professional and an
ethical delivery of medication and treatment which is not ethical leads to create crime and ethics.
Any medication which administered with bad intention or unethical to patient creates criminal
act and violet the medical law. Any medication which can help to treat patient but those
medication use to create a negative impact on patient intentionally that can create condition of
crime and ethics (Lipworth, (2017)).
CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it can be concluded that moral, ethics and medical law is highly
necessary to deliver effective ethical healthcare services to patient. There are different medical
law which are made to provide ethical delivery of healthcare treatment and services to their
patient and to follow some specific rules and regulation while treating patient. There are different
law need to make overtime. Time is changing and way to deliver healthcare is also need to
change. For this, there is need to amend law along with rules and regulation to maintain ethical
practices. It is also observed that there are different benefit of legal argument while following
health and medical law. There are different strength and limitation which can faced by healthcare
provider while delivering treatment and health care to their patient.

argument and many more which have high importance as core academic skill. This provide
individual to learn and write something and help to get knowledge and learning about many
thing.
Reading and writing allow to take advantage in academic time. This provide knowledge
and learning towards different legal skill which can help in future development while performing
any job role in any organization. This can highly effective in academic time along with to live

normal life. Due to having a skill of reading and writing, this allows individual to learn every
time something new with can also be useful in future time for professional development.
Reading and writing allows individual to learn many thing which can help to complete work and
perform different task in effective way (Bacon, (2020)).
Constructing a argument provides an individual for clarifying thoughts and articulate them
accurately and honestly with considering ideas with critical and respectful manner. It provide the
opportunity to change point of view of people with particular behaviour or action. It also helps to
improve level of argument and help in dealing with different parties to make social relationship
the handling emotional state. Constructing an argument is highly effective skill that can help
individual to take participating in a different necessary topic. It allows individual to take part and
perform well with their related topic. It also provides opportunity to show their enthusiasm while
delivering an effective and constructive argument in front of concerned people. It allows
individual to show respect and communicate effectively with the help of constructing an
argument effectively (Dantzler, (2021)).
