This essay is for applying for the scholarship in Mayo Medical School. The essay puts forward
my short and long term goals. The essay also puts forward the reasons of the requirement of the
scholarship for fulfilling my short and long term goal. I have also mentioned how this
scholarship will help in fulfilling my plans regarding my studies. Everybody aspires to be a
graduate from a good college. A degree from a good college is a boon for a good career. As a
medical student, Mayo Medical college in the United States will be a dream come true and it will
also help in boosting my career.
As a student of middle school I was always fond of Biology and related subjects and I
aspired to be a doctor at that point of time. Thus, the first step to that would definitely be
studying from a reputed college. The good college is the first step towards success. Thus, the
short term goal is to be a part of a good college where I can get an in hand experience regarding
my field. Mayo Medical college is one of the finest college and that is the reason
I aspire to be a part it. My long term goal would definitely be to be a doctor who is recognized
not only for the degrees I hold. The goal is to be recognized for the treatment that is provided.
My goal is to have a chamber of my own and equip it with all the latest technologies that is
possible.
I am currently working in a school in order to make my living. My gpa in school was 4.0
and the I had a college gpa of 3.8. Working I the school will help me in interacting with a large
number of people. It will me in knowing the condition of the different people and also the family
members of those people. My good college gpa suggest that I have had a decent academic record
all throughout my bachelors and shows my interest in the field.

In the entrance for the college I have secured enough marks to be eligible for the
scholarship. This Mayo Medical college has a high fee structure, which is justified by the
facilities it provide. All the colleges that charge less fees does not have an infrastructure as this.
Neither does it provide everybody with the facilities the Mayo Medical college provides. The
infrastructure provides with a practical experience in the respective field. Having an in hand or
practical experience will help a student when the student moves to a real world situation. The
scholarship will help in securing a place in the college. My current financial condition does not
satisfy with the fees structure of the university. The scholarship will help in being a part of a
reputed college. This will help me in having a practical experience in my field an also the degree
of a reputed college will help me fulfill my long term goal. Thus, the scholarship will not only
help me in fulfilling my short term goals but also long term goals as well.
