Personal health care in health care is
a situation where the patient himself
participate in the treatment and cooperate
with his level best with the professional of
health. In this the patient willingness to get
better early is high and he himself takes
many initiatives to get better and good with
regard to his health life. The suggestions
and cooperation from patient close relatives
are also includes in person centered health
care practices. The professional people takes
the necessary suggestions and consultation
from the family and the patient before going
for any kind of treatment (Hendriks and et
al., 2016). The professional healthcare
worker also perform good planning,
monitoring, directing and controlling of
activities about the treatments which will be
taken for the patient. The treatment and care
is provided to the patient by keeping his
views, needs, demand or desire in mind. The
models which could get applied to this
person centered practice and some of these
model can be as:
Medical model:
 Law, regulations and
practices: In the medical care,
the professional health care
provider has to perform his
practice or code of conduct
under the scope of boundaries of
the stated activities only. The
professional health worker must
perform this activities in the
ethical way only. These activities
of worker or health take care
person should not offend to the
patient. The unethical activities
may include harassment, bad
vocal behavior, giving the wrong
advice and treatment to the
patient and the like.
 Practice the guidance for
health and safety: There are
guidelines which are stated under
health and social care. It major
purpose of these guidance is to
deliver the good services to the
patients and make sure of their
safety and hygiene level.
Through the right practice of
these safety and health measures
the quality of services provided
by professional worker gets
better and a good treatment gets
delivered to the patients (Morin,

health professional person must
undertakes his behavior and practice
in the particular code of conduct.

or workplace. He must hire the
people belonging from different
background or culture. Also the

these people. He must treat all these
people with equality and provide
them with fair and just opportunities.
Social Model
 Cognitive need: It refers to the
process in which an individual gets
engage in various fun activities
which requires the involvement of
both mental and physical abilities.
Through these fun activities a patient
stay engaged and happy.
 Support from friends and family:
When a patient gets the positive
support from his friends and family,
he stays happy and motivated
towards his health. He does not feel
alone in the time of his
treatments. These support are
very essential for any patient as
he feels comfortable and
motivated as the family and
family. These people provide the
strengths to patients.
These model help the professional
worker in providing the quality services,
treatments and also the a happy
environment for the patients. These
model also provides the guidance of
these professional worker in relation to
their code of conducts and the kind of
activities which needs to undertake for
giving the treatment to patients.

comfortable enable him to get recover with
his own willingness also. The major purpose
of this program is to understand the needs,
wants and desire of patients and their family
and provide them with it. For example, if a
patient is suffering form the mental disorder
then to implement a proper person center
plan upon him the friends and family of that
person needs to get include. From them the
family nature, culture, backgrounds, and the
past experiences with that patient can get
determined (Stanghellini and Mancini,
2017). Through these information the
professional worker can form a better plan
for his patient with regard to person center
approach. A personalized planning and
monitoring can be formed which enable a
person to get better and recover from his
illness.
Through this approach the
professional practitioner can be able to
understand the reasons for his illness in an
effective way and then come up with the

solutions which can help him to get recover
with a fast phase.
Dilemma which are faced by
practitioners in relation with to ethics at
the time of implementing the person
centered practice:
There are many situation which a
professional health care worker encounters
with. He then at that time has to take the call
and make decision which provides the best
outcomes among the alternatives available.
There are also the times faced by
professional worker were he has make some
biased decisions about patients but these are
performed only due to the situation the
worker gets in. For example, a patient is in
critical condition is lying in a hospital but
no such treatment is providing to him as
there is no empty bed left in the whole
hospital. For deal with this situation the
hospital has to discharge an old lady of 85
years in age to make a bed empty for that
patient. This decision may be not good to
take for that old lady as this can put some
effect on his treatments but this is
something which was must to perform for
hospital. Situation like these creates the
ethical dilemma for the practitioners of
person center approach.
