Introduction
Personal Change is an activity in which an individual adapts to the new habits and
behaviour for their personal development. In this paper, the discussion will describe the
aspects of the topic ‘personal behavioural change’.
Personal Change behaviour
In today’s scenario, everyone has busy schedule due to which people face the
problems of unnecessary stress and health problems. Stress refers to the feeling of emotional
and physical tension that makes people frustrated and angry and affects their skills of
managing people (Cleveland Clinic, 2018). This has been a common issue, which I faced, and
i.e. nervousness, or stress due to workload as it affected my performance amongst other
employees. Then, gradually the situation became worse as increased my stress levels due to
the hectic schedule and daily routine activities. I was not able to do my work properly due to
these issues. Further, someone suggested me to meditate and engage in other recreational
activities so that it will bring about peace and calmness in my mind and relieve from stress.
Meditation is the best practice to reducing the stress and control the anxiety. It was
difficult for me to concentrate for long time but I took the decision to take the help of
instructor. Instructor gave instructions to me regarding this practice and trying to solve my
problems. My instructor provided knowledge regarding the benefits of meditation as it would
help me to change my behaviour. He developed a plan for practicing meditation and healthy
activities in such a pleasant way, which will help me to deal with the issues.
I decided to start this practice with the mediation process of 5 minutes per day from
that I feel relax and happy. However, I thought it difficult for me to concentrate for long time
because my mind has been constantly focusing on negative thoughts and aspects that made

me feel stressful and emotionally alone. Furthermore, I analysed that the major issue was the
lack of knowledge about mediation is a barrier for me because I am very sensitive in
behaviour and never wanted to be live alone. I felt these issues in first 3 weeks as when I
started to observe myself. The observation of 10 weeks helped me to decide to contact
counsellor that can help me to overcome the issue. As per the instructions given by the
instructor, he increased the period of mediation practice by 15 minutes after the 15 days of
practice that will surely be difficult for me. He also instructed me to change my place of
mediation for a long time practice. As I am currently working on the practice so that, my
behaviour will change, so after getting the knowledge of 10 week, through which my interest
increased towards this practice. Hence, I will commit to give more time on this practice to
change my behaviour, as it will help me to resolve issues and bring happiness, calmness, and
increase confidence level. I analysed that it is necessary to work on the development of skills
of self-awareness to ensure taking right decision for future (Health line, 2018).
Mindful awareness
The meditation practice will enhance my awareness towards the work due to
increasing concentration ability.
By concentrating long time, the power of my brain functioning will enhances so it is
easy for me to take the good decision related to my future with the patience.
Meditation within natural environment or surroundings will support me to live a
healthy life i.e. free from diseases.
Conclusion
In the end, it has concluded that the mediation is a practice that helps one to
understand things, and self to incorporate changes into my personality. Thus, I will commit to
give more time on this meditating, and new opportunity for my successful future.
