Introduction
In the recent past, the internet of things has greatly evolved into a commercial method for both
communication and financial empowerment. The internet now houses 2 billion users worldwide.
This comes as a great opportunity for any firm to market its products and services to the world.
To access this internet users, we require a website. However, we should first understand what our
users want.
Membership portal overview
According to (Chiplik 2008), Membership portal is important is it is a formal communication
point for service demand between a customer and the admin. Santander, being among the few
largest banks in the Europe, they concentrated in creating an enterprise portal that would march
with their software
Related Study on Portals
KLO portals
The ABNO softwares portals as described according to (Hurry 2014), a portal that serves all. The
portal which are customized using the C# frameworks are the best of its kind in the design and
the development of web portals in the world. The portal has both the administrator and the user
side which represent the server and the client side respectively.
The user have to register into the system, but now, the very first step for this portal involves
entering the personal email and sending the registration request. This is in order secure the

system and prevent the system from unwanted user, (Hurry 2014). The admin will then authorize
the registration request then the mail is sent by the use of SMTP for redirection of the link.
Vindit Systems
According to (Kurel 2012), vindit system are among the first customized portals. The portal
makes use of the membership trail where an individual who is a default user on the client side of
the system has to register into the system and is requested to subscribed by choosing the
membership plan. That was the introduction of the so called GOLD , Diamond , Silver and other
named plans (Hurry 2014).
The plans is based on the access of resources , how much resource can you access with the plan?
The server side, backend system is the admin control side with all the capabilities to manage the
user and the resources too.
Research gap
Though web portals existed before, more improvements have been done in order to suit
individual usage and operations. For that reason, following the above related portals which
existed before , there are some of the weaknesses with the portal that the system that am
developing has solved. This involves the following.
The portal which am developing will solve the problem of unwanted, unauthorized users from
accessing the system, first all registration must have admin approval in order to proceed with the
registration.
Every single login must be approved by the admin since soft hackers can be able to access the
website without the knowledge of the default authorized user.

The membership plans of the user is based on time. The user or member who is registered to the
system is able to view his/her plan status, profile and also view the status of his payments every
time he/she is online.
Conclusion
From the above literature of the related portals, the membership portals that existed previously
had a lot of weaknesses which the portal for membership plan that am developing will
completely solve.
