INTRODUCTION
This report is divided into two sections under which major portion is related with
literature review on requirement of studying work balance policies for men, while secondly there
is discussion about research methodology which is used to conduct this investigation in better
and appropriate manner (Bratton and Gold, 2017). For section first, there are two themes ( i.e.
studying about work life balance and requirement of work life balance policies for men ) which
are set for understanding topic properly. With the help of second part of this report, there will
assistance in understanding methodology which is most appropriate for understanding topic and
collection of information about it.
PART 1: LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature review is the section which gives complete and specific information about
some specific topic with the help of authentic and relevant sources. There is discussion about
work place balance in consideration of men because it is important that men also have some
responsibilities which assist in understanding changes in proper manner. There is requirement of
research about requirement of study work life balance in context of men. In this literature review
there will discussion about complete and specific information about understanding what are the
benefits when research is done through understanding and mangling work life balance with men.
Literature review about this context is discussed as under-
To study about work life balance
As per view of SUSAN M. HEATHFIELD, 2019 Work life balance involves policies
through which individual is equally responsible for managing activities in order to conduct
different aspects. With the help of work life balance, it is easy for employee to manage their
social activities and conduct operations as well. With managing work life balance, employee is
able to understand what is more prior and they are able to understand it properly. With making
proper changes in operations under work life balance, there is requirement of proper
understanding with the help of which they does not get stressed. This concept is important in
current market because people have their own life style and they want to enjoy it,. But due to
hectic life style, there are possibilities that some of the people are not able to maintain balance
(Collings, Wood and Szamosi, 2018). There must be some policies for men as well, so they give
time to their families under proper responsibility. When individuals ae able to manage it

properly, then it is easy for them to understand what are the factors which are important for them
and they are able to take care of it.
To analysis the requirements of work life balance policies for men
In current era, women are also working and they have to manage their personal as well as
per professional life. There is complete and specific information with the help of which
individuals are able to conduct operations properly. According to Alan Kohll, 2019 As men is
also part of family, so it is important for them as well to understand that they are also responsible
towards home and family. Being female, lady have to work for their earning and their family
including children, parents, etc. in private sector, there are many organisations which are not
providing proper benefits and leaves to females in case they require it. This makes it easy for
them to manage both the aspects and work with efficiency. It is important that research have to
done about men's balance in work- life policies. There are many occasion which has to be planed
and organised by women and there is no contribution of men in it (Dickmann, Brewster and
Sparrow, 2016). From the article, it is clear that there are some perceptions which is set in
society regarding working of men and women. This means women are responsible for family and
social events and men are responsible towards working to earn livelihood. But in current era, it is
not so because these days, females are also equally responsible for understanding earning., there
are many articles which provides information about leaves which are available to women such as
maternity leave, medical benefits, etc. with which it is easy for them to concentrate and make
balance between both.
But in current environment, there is equal weight-age to both male and female which are
working, so there must be some contribution of male as well in consideration personal
operations. There are some legal laws under which male is also awarded with paternal leaves,
child care policies, tax benefits, etc. with the help of which they are able to concentrate on their
families and social gatherings as well. When there is proper research done about work life
balance policies for men, then it is more clear to society and awarenesses can be recreated. There
is specific and relevant information with the help of which individuals are able to understand
changes which are taking place. As there are proper policies for men in order to maintain their
balance between their personal and professional life (Guerci and et. al., 2015).
There are many researcher who perform investigation in context of women but for men
there are very less number of research done. Hence there is more scope of conducting

investigation over studying policies for men in order to manage different aspects which ease in
communicating to others. According to lesson provided, if is analysed that there is requirement
of change in HR policies. When there is equality law implemented at organisation, then there is
scope of studying different aspects for men for maintaining work life balance.
With the help of investigation about study for HR policies for men work life balance,
then it is easy to communicate with society and this makes more scope of understanding policies
in proper and appropriate manner. When people have knowledge about men's prospects in
managing work and life balance, then it makes proper understanding and assist others to come
with some new thought. When men are considered in research, then there are proper policies
through which they are equally responsible for their future activities. When in future,
investigations, will be targeted at men, then general perception of being women is responsible
towards social and family activities (Habib Rana and Shaukat Malik, 2016).
There is discussion about policies in two organisations i.e. Pharmerger and Engcorp
under which there is discussion about work life balance. There is requirement of employee'
participation for organisational growth, but if employees are not satisfied, then they will not
work satisfactory. In order to keep workers satisfied, managers must consider their personal life
as well as make policies that they can manage it properly and with understanding their priorities.
This makes positive and familiar environment at organisation. So it is clear that in order to
manage work life balance there is modification in work place policies as well.
PART 2: RELEVANT QUALITATIVE METHODOLOGY
While conducting investigation, there is requirement of some techniques which are
effective for them to understand and make provided information relevant. There is use of
positivism philosophy under which this topic will be studied with more specification and
easiness. Qualitative research method will be used under which information is presented through
no- technical methods, so it Is easy for reader to understand it. With qualitative method,
deductive approach fits best. Under deductive approach, information will be studied initially in
broad concept and then specific men's work life balance will be studied. This is the way through
which topic will be properly clear to readers and researcher (Renwick and et. al., 2016).
Men's work life balance is the topic which is which is not so popular in current era, hence
information collection under qualitative method is from primary and secondary sources. Primary
information will be collected through semi structured interview because under this individuals
3

can provide their views and researcher can understand it properly and this is less time consuming
as compared to other primary sources. While secondary information will be collected through
books and journals which provides information about HR policies. There will be use of internet
sources as well. As this topic is new and some information is not known by individual, then it is
clear with internet online sites because they provide data which covers whole work life balance
topic.
For collecting primary information, there is requirement of some individuals because it is
not possible for researcher to collect primary information from whole crowd. 50 Men and
women working candidates are selected for this purpose because they have fair knowledge about
this topic (Wilton, 2016). These candidates are selected under simple random probable sampling
which is the best way to avoid possibilities of biasness.
CONCLUSION
As per above discussed information, it is clear that there is more scope of conducting
research over men's work life balance because this is the topic which is not included by
researcher, hence there will more information which can be collected. When information will be
collected about men' s work life balance, then this assist in creating awareness among people and
sometimes HR policies will be more specific and clear. Information will be collected through
semi structure interview under primary information and online sites will used as secondary
methods. 50 candidates will be elected for collecting information through interview.
