INTRODUCTION
Mental health issues occurred due to stress and anxiety and different diseases such as;
anger, panic attacks, depression, mental and physical disorder etc. However, immune system of
human body gets disturbed and occurs nervousness as well lack of energy. The present report is
based on case study of Elezabeth who is on maternity leaves and feeling low during her baby
caring time. In this regard, depression and suicide risks for communities in Australia are to be
described. Similarly, factors contribute health concerns and risks can be introduced that affect
mental health issues. In addition to this, several ethical and medical considerations are to
introduced for taking care of mental patients. However, mental health problem and necessity of
concern for Elezabeth is to be presented through this assignment.
1)
a) Depression and suicide
Depression:- It is an outcome of mental illness that affects human body and behaviour of
the person. as well feeling low towards losing something special. Therefore, mental disorder and
physical disability also obtained that for which depressed person do not behave well in society
and group. It also impacts on mood of an individual like he/she starts feeling sad, anxious,
empty, hopeless and so on. However, depression in patients occur due to several life events such
as; mental and physical abuse, childbirth, financial difficulties, unemployment, separation etc. It
resulted to slowing down personal and social lifestyles it results in slowdown of regular activities
(Beezhold and et.al., 2017). However, it is needed to prevent depression disease and creating
healthy as well friendly environment for depressed individuals during their struggled life event.
This problem is occurring in Australia on large scale that affects an individual's life. In this given
case scenario, incident related to Elezabeth is totally indicates depression and mental health
issue during maternity time period.
Suicide: It is considered as causing owns death intentionally. It happens due to mental
disorders, depression, personality disorder, alcoholism, frustrations and fear to face society.
However, suicide is caused because of imbalanced lifestyles and lack of surviving in difficulties.
It occurs negative impact on society and youth generation as loss of patience and fear to face
obtained disorders in particulars life events (Bockting and et.al., 2013). In Australia, it is
investigated that most of the people lose their lives because of having difficulties in their life. It

takes place due to several risk factors as; disorders, drug misuse, social situations and other
issues. Including this, it influences society and community's environment negatively which is
required to be reduced. For decreasing in order of suicide, it is necessary to create awareness in
young generation through media and using other tools as newspaper, magazine etc. to motivate
people for not taking wrong step rather to face to occurred problems in their lives (Clement, and
et.al., 2015). However, reducing suicide and getting aware to Australian is required to save
human lives and encouraging them to face the hurdles. It would be helpful for an individual to
taking problems rationally and respond the difficulties strongly.
b) Community groups at risk of depression and suicide
In Australia, depression as a mental disability and occurred negative act as suicide issues
are getting increased at high level. It impacts on human life and society's other people because of
lack of courage towards facing difficulties. In this regard, several risks are obtained that appears
loss of human life and imbalanced personality (Cooper and Marshall, 2013). It results adverse for
country and young generation also, different risks are occurred that can be understood as
follows :
Community group at risk of depression: It is a kind of mental health issue which
impacts on society and community's environment negatively. In this regard, variety of risks are
associated at individual, social and environmental levels. For example; low self-esteem,
inefficiency to solve problems and disturbed physical health. Similarly, family issues and
inappropriate social support obtained that affect earning capacity and lack of courage to handle
the situation are determined. In addition to this, social justice, tolerance, poor access of equality
basic services gets affected. However, several kind of risks are obtained because of depression
remains adverse for an individual's fitness physically and mentally (Grob, 2014). Therefore, it is
considered that mental and physical health issues are occurred because of depression and mental
issues. For Australian, it is necessary to organise events to reduce depression and mental issue
and to encourage them to find the solutions for their problems..
Community group at risk of suicide: Suicide is occurred because of physical, mental
and emotional inefficiency, lack of courage to face difficulties in life events. However, suicide is
considered as risk factor that affects individual's lifestyles and society's culture (Heine, 2015). In
today's era, youth generation commit suicide at higher level in comparison to children and older

aged group. It is because of imbalanced personality, loneliness, ineffective social cultural and
different issues. In this regard, community group at risk of suicide impacts psychological and
social factors a lot for Australia and its development. Therefore, for preventing this issue, it is
needed to encourage youth for facing life's problems with courage and saving human life
effectively (Howard, Piot and Stein, 2014).
2) FACTORS CONTRIBUTE IN CLIENT'S HEALTH CONCERN AND
RISKS
In the given scenario, case study of Elezabeth is presented related to depression as mental
health issue during her maternity period. It is observed that occurrence of this disease in this
period is natural that can be reduced by creating environment according to her desire etc. it is
observed that depression problem affects personal, social and environmental lifestyles of her. It
gets disturbed as well variety of issues are obtained. Including this, physical and mental health
issues are occurred that impacts human body and different risks related to life and society's
culture (Lamont, Brunero and Sharma, 2016). As per the given case, client's health issues and
occurred risk factors can be decreased through health concerns and promoting them. However, it
will be effective for her effective lifestyles and proper balance with her new baby which also
affects social and environmental factors. Apart from this, health issues occurred for Elezabeth as
depression impacts on her social life and environment for baby caring and new turn of life.
However, factors contribute in client's health can be understood as below:
Social factors: These factors are related with social life and contribution also related
with behavioural risk factor as person's nature with society people and so on. In this
regard, tobacco, alcohol consumption, physical activity also gets affected. However,
influence on society and country's social effectiveness matters by which public welfare
and response relationships get affected (Olfson and et.al., 2014). Thus, it is recognised
that depression is occurred due to behavioural factors as depression, mental disorder and
physical disability. It affects human life physically and mentally both which remains
ineffective for society and social development of Australia.
Environmental risk factor: In the given case scenario, it is recognised that Elezabeth is
feeling to going down due to new changes in her lifestyle (Reavley and et.al., 2014). It
influences environment of family and society negatively which remains adverse for her

development and getting adjusted too frequently. Therefore, depression occurs and
environment, physical and mental growth of an individual get affected. In addition to this,
environmental risks due to depression occurred which is also required to be reduced for
health concern and promotion effectively.
Above mentioned factors impact on patients' personal as well social lifestyle that impacts
on environment and society's attitude towards problems. However, as per the case study, it is
recognised that for reducing Elezabeth depression towards her new turn of life during maternity
period creating effective environment according to her desire is required (Townsend, 2014). It
will be good for social and environmental factors as well for proper caring of her new born baby.
Thus, by fulfilling her wishes and environment according to social and baby caring, health issues
of patient can be reduced effectively.
3) ETHICAL AND MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS AND ASPECTS OF
MENTAL HEALTH ACT, 2007
There are several ethical and medical considerations provided for reducing mental health
of an individual which affects social and environmental factor of society (Wallace, Nazroo, and
Bécares, 2016). It is linked with development of Australia and taking care of patients. Some
essential considerations amended in Mental Health Act, 2007 can be understood as below:
Ethical considerations: Some ethics to be considered for providing treatment to patients
are required such as; rationality, competence and autonomy. In this regard, provisions are made
for behaving rationality with patients and providing effective hospitality are necessary also
remains helpful for satisfying them with services provided by hospital entity. Including this,
providing preferences to patients and proper interest are needed to be considered for effective
hospitalisation (Mental Health, 2017). Along with this, considering moral ethics and all
preferences for providing services to patients are required to be followed on for maintaining
good position and reducing risks occurred in treatments. In addition to this, ethical
considerations related to medication and considering all ethics are needed for country's people
welfare as well proper treatments. Therefore, these ethical considerations are required to be
considered and maintained that affects treatment and hospitalisation as well safety and security
for patients' health care efficiently.

Medical considerations to be considered for patients' treatment: Some mental
considerations are required to be considered for taking care of patients suffering from health
issues. In this regard, providing medication according to the disease and patients' treatments are
needed for reducing mental illness (Cooper and Marshall, 2013). For these considerations, some
provisions are amended for treatment and hospitalisation as Medical Capacity Act and Mental
Health Act, 2007. However, different considerations are amended for treatment of patients'
treatment and reducing their diseases effectively. Therefore, providing medicals on proper
timing and considering expiry date are required for health and social care entities that impact on
hospitalisation and medications efficiently.
4) MENTAL HEALTH RISK IN CASE SCENARIO AND ITS IMPACT ON
CLIENT FOR INTERVENTIONS
In the given case scenario, mental health risks are obtained as social and environmental
which is not effective for Elezabeth and her new born baby. She is feeling depressed with her
new turn of life which impacts on her family environment and other factors. However, risks
occurred is not preferable for development of the child and patient's recovery from her health.
Including this, other health issues can be occurred that affects her physical fitness and
surrounding environment (Grob, 2014). Therefore, all of these health risks can be reduced that
impact on interventions such as providing treatment and proper cure to them as well creating
environment in accordance to her growth. In addition to this, modifying health issues into
recovery and positive outcome would be effective for physical and mental fitness of the patient
effectively. Thus, mental health risks can be reduced for proper interventions and creating
positive environment effectively.
5) MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM AND NEED OF CONCERN FROM
CASE STUDY
Elezabeth is suffering from depression due to changes in her new lifestyle and childbirth.
Whether it is natural to feel depressed during maternity time period and childbirth but it affects
her social and environmental factors (Beezhold and et.al., 2017). Therefore, it needs to reduce
these issues and concern on them which would be effective for physical and mental growth as
well effective environment. However, mental health problems can be reduced remains effective
for recovering the disease and improving health. In this case study, it is recognised that for

Medical Health Act, 2007 are expressed that are essential for improving health promotion and
proper care of patients. Along with this, mental health problem and requirement of health
concern are introduced through this assignment which is effective for reducing health issues and
improving hospitalisation.
