INTRODUCTION
Mental Health is said to be the perception of an individual as to how he will behave and
present himself in front of the society. Mental health is found on a continuum and may be
considered to be healthy or unhealthy depending on a range of factors including thought
processes, cognition, emotions and actions, and how these affect the daily living of individuals
(Anthes 2016). Mental health has a major impact in the lives of human beings as it works as the
element which can affect living conditions, relationships with their close ones and the overall
health of the person (Chandra & Chand 2018). Mental Health is considered to be one of the main
causes of the same can be stress, lifestyle, daily activities, anxiety, depression (Evans & et. al.
2018). These affect the daily lives and their everyday activities which can lead to loneliness and
social isolation. At times when an individual's mental health is disrupted, due to trauma,
depression, shock an individual may develop an increased chance of developing a mental health
condition due to negative life experiences and other environmental factors causing a major issue
to both society and to an individual himself.
Along with this the mental health can also be examined and mental situation can be
maintained by effective and appropriate precautionary steps which are taken by the nurses. The
report also discusses the preventions for mental illness with their positive impacts. At times the
medical practitioners like nurses and doctors are contacted to reduce the mental imbalance which
will reduce the ill effects of mental imbalance.
MAIN BODY
Mental Healthcare
Mental Health is related to a state of mind which allows an individual recognize their
abilities of performing tasks so that he can cope up with the stresses of daily routine that arises
with the activities that are performed. These activities mainly comprises of the activities which
are performed in order to earn his living. There are several health organisations that focuses on
mental health to be differentiated from the mental disorders. There are many factors that can
affect individual's mental health and may occur at any stage of life despite socio economic status
or living standard, although these may be contributing factors. Mental health illnesses may
present with a range of signs and symptoms, and are often highly individualised, although may
present with common characteristics. Thus, the use of the Mental State Examination (MSE) that

allows for the thorough assessment of one’s mental health. The early signs of mental intervention
can be seen as individual's restricting themselves from friends, family and society, restricting
from normal day to day activities. This can also be seen by seeing that they are sleeping a lot or
very less, eating too much or too little. They are continuously on low energy and will power.
Being hampered with negative emotions and reacting very aggressively (Bulankina and et. al.
2019).
The early signs when measured are required to be not taken normally and relevant
measures are required to be taken. There is an urgent need of this critical situation getting treated
and for this the patients or sufferers can take psychotherapy or normal therapy as per the
situation. The doctors and medical practitioners can be contacted who will prescribe medications
which will work in curing the early signs. When the problem is detected in an early age of the
problem, its treatment will be easy using the appropriate measures. Along with these measures
the individual himself is also required to take initiatives on his own to resolve the dreadful
effects.
Intervention of Individual and Community
Intervention can be regarded as reducing the effects of mental imbalance and the effects
associated with the disability. They are based on examining risks and making individual
strengthen his ability to deal with it. To reduce the ill effects of mental imbalance on mental
health there is an urgent need to follow the interventions and take precautions that can work in
accordance to narrow down the impact. The major interventions which can be worked on by
individuals and community can be seen as the early signs of mental imbalance is required to be
taken seriously and not neglected. When early signs are measured and actions are taken on the
same, there are chances that mental health can be improved. Consumption of healthy and
balanced diets, along with exercises in daily routine will act in preventing the mental imbalance.
As living standards are enhanced and they are living a healthy life, mental stress will be reduced.
The parenting for a baby or child also works as prevention of mental stress (Ruan and et.
al.2020). This is because since early age he is getting a better environment through which he can
take appropriate decisions. The meditation plays an importance role in preventing mental
imbalance as meditation activities gives a soothing and peaceful experience to an individual,
reducing stressful situations. The society should not make people apart from them who are

suffering from mental stress rather than the people should make them feel familiar as a
preventive step in reducing the ill effects.
Positive Impacts of the Intervention on Individual and Community
When interventions are followed appropriately by the individuals and society, there are
chances that will reduce the mental stress and create a well developed society to live in. There
are a lot of positive impacts which are caused due interventions and they can be studied as there
will be an immediate reduction in anxiety and depression of individuals as they are treated fairly
without any bias. An establishment of peaceful and harmonious relationships will be built among
as society is taking initiatives for the same. The interventions will increase the self confidence
and self esteem as everyone is respected and treated fairly (Kumar & Nayar 2020). Along with
improvement in mental health, the physical health will also be improved as individuals will be
taking more care of themselves when they are mentally stable. The interventions will make the
world a better place to live in and an effective carry out of daily routine tasks.
Nursing Intervention
The nursing intervention can be refereed as a nurse being dedicated and working with
personal care for a patient in treating the patient along with evaluating and diagnosing the ill
effects. The nurses are considered to be the substitute of doctors and as the doctors cannot stay
with patients for whole time, nurses do the job. The nurse is considered to be accountable and
responsible for the health condition of an individual. The nurses are required to be well trained
and equipped with resources that will be needed in the process. The nurses are treated as the
medical practitioners who work and treat their patients like mothers. This is a result that the
preventive measures which are by the nurses are proved to be very effective and can make the
patient to recover with a (People 2018) faster pace. The nurses promote well being by taking
appropriate measures as they are trained and developed for the same. The medical practitioners
keep the patient in their surveillance so that health restoration, management of chronic disease
and rehabilitation becomes an easier task. The nurses are honest and trustworthy who work for
the benefit and enhancement of medical health of employees. They possess an assertive trait
which makes them work with high motivation skills. The nurses know what therapy and which
medication will be required in treating the specific mental pressure (Valeeva, Baykova, Kusainov
2016).

Evidence-based Nursing Intervention
The nursing intervention will help the patients to recover at a faster and easier pace. This
is because they work with whole devotion and take care of their patients like a mother taking
care of their children. This will result in proper care and treatment of individuals. The nursing
interventions can be seen as the nurses visit the patients those who stay at home and also to them
who are staying at hospital places for their treatment. The nurses keep a proper coordination with
doctors and timely keep themselves updated about the medical conditions and medications of the
patients. They work as a motivation factor for the patients and enhance the will power of patients
which facilitates them to deal with the situation (Pilgrim 2019). The nurses works on reducing
the mental stress by involving people in outdoor activities which can work as a stress buster. The
nurses work for explaining individuals the ill effects of stress and the hazardous lifestyle, thus
preventing individuals from doing the same.
Positive Impacts of the Nursing Intervention on Individual and Community
The nurses work in a significant way and take prevention which are followed in a
systematic and strategic manner. This will result in stabilising the mental health of individuals.
They will be able to provide a better environment and a place to live in. The positive impacts of
the nursing interventions can be regarded as the nurses creates effective environment which
works in rectifying overall health of the patients, not only mental health but also the physical
well being.
The nurses will examine the disorders at an early stage which will result in creation of a better
place to live in. The intervention of mental nurses in health care will help the family of patient to
cope up with the situation and they will also feel comfortable as they will be satisfied about the
health of the patient (Vincent 2016). The records maintained will be easily accessible as and
when required as the nurses prepare the medical record with each and every detail. This is further
used in future medical treatment of patient. The role of nurses is very significant as it is possible
by the help of nurses only that patients are treated with the utmost care after the doctor has
examined them. The patients lack support of their family as the family is not allowed to visit and
stay with the patients for whole time. The nurses are treated as very important person in the
medical place who will be helping and staying with the patients for whole day (World Health
Organization 2017).

CONCLUSION
From the above studied report it can be concluded that mental dis balance is a serious
issue in the community which is urgently required to be addressed. As mental health is
considered as a situation which is linked with performing daily tasks and activities. The
interventions as seen in the report by the individual and community in itself can be seen as self
rectification of the critical situation without help of any medical practitioner. It can further be
concluded that the nurses play a vital role in examining and dealing the issues of mental dis
balance of patients with their skills and competencies. The interventions act as a help which will
help in bringing positive outcomes and better well being in the society. The positive outcomes
act as a welfare situation for the individuals as well as society which will further result in making
the society a better place to live in.
