In the following essay, the movements driven by the students regarding the use of words
in the college and university campuses will be discussed. The disastrous situations regarding the
mental health of the teachers and their concerns over the situations are the most crucial parts of
this paper. This issue has indeed become a huge problem for the society and many instances have
also been given in these articles. The problems regarding these discomforts among the senior
people and the lecturers have become a matter of worry indeed.
Thesis statement: The mental health well being must be considered by the college
authorities otherwise it bring upon larger consequences about the deterioration of the
society.
The articles in this context have provided some views on the insulting of the senior
people on the campus because of which some of them have stopped the teaching process in the
classes. Most of the violations are in terms of calling their teachers by their pseudonyms that
affects the integrity of their personality. The politics in campus has grown and it has taken the
shape of the sexual paranoia. In the article The Coddling of the American Mind has provide many
such instances where this kind of issue is very significant indeed. People like Jerry Seinfeld and
Bill Maher have already shown their protests against the oversensitivity that the students have
shown in the campuses (Lukianoff and Haidt: 45). According to the press, these developments
are merely the effects of the correctness in their political views. Still, this kind of issue should
not be present in the classroom sessions and public campuses at all. Most of the critics are of the
opinion that this incongruence is rising in the last few years and it has created a huge concern
among the senior people in the campuses. The antidiscrimination statues by the federal
government seem to be completely misinterpreted in this concern (Lukianoff and Haidt: 45).
Some experts have also acknowledged this fact by saying that it has been problematic for the

common people to think about and interpret in the correct manner since the concept of free range
in the childhood has not been properly implemented after the 1908s.
The safety concerns in the concepts of the thinking and listening have been more
important in all segments of the society. These are the values and elements without which people
cannot live happily and social disconnections will continue to arise (Mayo: 511). The use of
humor has created the problems in these contexts and warned the people who have
misinterpreted the humor. Therefore, it will be very crucial to note that the humor should be used
for the social justice and not create jeopardy among the common people at any cost. The social
justice education must be shown properly so the individuals can stick to their needs and stop this
kind of ill behavior to the adults (Mayo: 511). The balancing act of the social safety is indeed the
most significant aspect in this scenario and people would be able to know how the situation
could be made better. The students must be provided with the options for the use of the humor
and critique in the proper ways so they can deal with these problems within the society. The
concept of the racism is definitely one of the most impactful factors in this regard. The use of the
humor must be made in the proper ways and this will give the listeners the opportunity to think
of the issues positively.
In this provision, the call for the safe place is definitely one of the most crucial
developments that can cause better harmony in the society. The sociological aspects must be
considered here and the education must be given in the safe ways. The words have the power to
inflict the greater pain in the minds of the common people (Stengel: 525). Therefore, the students
must be very cautious about their actions and how they can cope up with the various issues. The
students should interpret their education for the betterment of the society and not for spreading
the racism within the society (Stengel: 525). The educators must be respected within the society

and this will have positive effects foe their ability to shower the society with learning and
growth.
In the concluding part of the paper, it must be considered that the society will need the
use of the proper education so it can combat with the evils of racism and control the use of words
by the students. The students should not take up any kind of discriminatory actions against
anyone in the society because it will give rise the incongruence once again.
