Arguments for “to improve the mental health of the nation we need better organisation, not more
expenditure”
Mental health could be defined as the unstable mental condition of the individuals and it is
very important for all the countries to formulate effective policies for dealing with this issue.
While planning to deal with it, it is very important for the countries to be focused with proper
and better organisation not the expenditures. With the help of it, the nations will be able to
organise each and every activity in systematic manner that may leave negative impact upon
mental health of the individuals living within the country. If the legal authorities will not be able
to pay attention towards it then it may also affect the functionality of whole country (Trautmann,
Rehm and Wittchen, 2016).
In order to improve mental health of the country it is very important to pay attention
towards organisation rather than increasing expenses. If the legal authorities will spend more and
more on the mental health, then it will only result in higher expenditures which also affects the
funding which is available within the country. By ensuring effective and better organisation
countries will be able to improve mental health within the nation. There are various aspects
which could be focused by the government to ensure improvement in mental health. These are
treating all the individuals equally and formulating policies against racism. With the help of it,
the mental health of all the citizens of the country could be improved. If the legal authorities will
be spending funds for guiding the local public to ignore racism, then it may not result faster but
if strict policies will be formulated then it can result positively quickly (Papanicolas, Woskie and
Jha, 2018). Apart from this, the governmental authorities are also required to pay attention
towards proper and appropriate organisation of all the activities that are related to mental health.
If these will not be organised in systematic manner, then it may affect the attainment of the goal
of improved mental health of whole nation.
If the government will be spending funds on the improvement of mental health, then it
will increase total expense of the nation which will also affect the spending on the development
of the country. Due to this, the legal authorities will not have sufficient funds which could be
used by them for economic growth of the nation. In order to pay attention towards improvement
of mental health government should make sure that it is focused proper organisation rather than
increasing expenses. It can help to meet the goal of reduced issue in mental health and managed
funding. If the expenditures will be increased then it will also result in different issues which

may include lack of finance for development of the country, inappropriate economic situation
etc. To deal with these issues it is essential to be focused with organisation rather than spending
(Thornicroft, Deb and Henderson, 2016).
