Role of mental health nurse in recovery of service users
Mental health nurse adopts a person-centered care approach to understand the needs of service
users and encourage them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment and care
(Cusack, Killoury & Nugent, 2017). The role differs from the nurses within the multidisciplinary
team as such team uses efficient resources to recover service users.
Link between recovery and social inclusion
There possess a strong link among recovery and social inclusion that is being engaged with
society via leisure activities, culture, education and work. It supports individuals to regain their
position in society and allow participation in opportunities and activities.
Role of mental health nurse in promoting Moira’s overall recovery
To help Moira to recover from the situation, she is facing a mental health nurse can encourage
her to go for outdoor activities to combat anxiety. As she is suffering from an eating disorder,
hence a regular eating schedule and a healthy diet will help in identifying changes in her eating
habits. By understanding her situation, a mental health nurse can lift her spirits by talking to her
regarding her feelings as she is highly depressed with her mother and neighbors. Being
sympathetic will help Moira to realize that the nurse is well-aware regarding her feelings. As
Moira seeks treatment, hence the nurse must demonstrate that the treatment has a high success
rate. Therefore, a mental health nurse can make efficient use of the evidence-based approach to
develop a therapeutic relationship with patients to make them feel comfortable sharing their
feelings and thoughts (Happell, Bennetts, Tohotoa, Wynaden & Platania-Phung, 2019).
Moreover, the implementation of specialized evaluation, intervention, planning and assessment
skills will help in improving the outcomes for Moira. By considering the relationship between
Moira and his mother, the nurse must understand the need for categorizing or re-defining
difficult, frustrating and unacceptable behavior of Moira towards her mother.

breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and mindfulness meditation. Moreover, strategies like
learning to accept uncertainty, challenging anxious thoughts and generating a worry period can
