Investigating Mental Health and Trafficking: A Research Proposal

This research proposal investigates the complex relationship between mental health and human trafficking, specifically focusing on the experiences of young people in the UK. The study aims to analyze the need for mental health support and the effectiveness of social work interventions in this context. The proposal outlines the research objectives, including understanding the concept of mental health, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and identifying factors contributing to human trafficking. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interpretivism, an inductive research approach, and a descriptive research strategy, with data collected through primary and secondary methods, and analyzed through interview-based questioning. The literature review highlights existing research, including the two main tracks of intervention and the focus on criminal justice, and the proposal concludes with the importance of addressing this challenging social problem.

LITERATURE REVIEW
 According to the view of Jong (2019) responses to human trafficking, is identified two
main tracks of interventions This is because of those facts on the causes and focus on the
consequences of trafficking.
 On the other side, Kempadoo, Sanghera and Pattanaik (2015) stated that the majority of
anti trafficking efforts have targeted to traffickers and have their root in the criminal
justices.

CONCLUSION
 From the above it had been concluded that the human trafficking has the one of the most
challenging social problem. In that literature also identified that the work process and
have needs of services provider.
