Workplace flexibility is emphasized ability and willingness to adapt change regarding
how ad when the work gets to be done. It is used as tool for sustaining as well as engaging staff
members. This can assist a company to reach its objectives in order to improve organisational
productivity. Through conducting the present investigation, I got to know about the workplace
flexibility in detailed manner and how this helps in arise the creativity at workplace environment.
There has been Gibbs Model used to define my journey to conduct an investigation over the
Workforce flexibility and its association with organization’s creativity in UK retail sector. Gibbs
reflective cycle was mainly developed through Graham Gibbs in year 1998 to provide the
structure to the learning from experiences. It is one of the useful model which consists five
different steps for an instance description, feelings, evaluations, analysis, conclusion and action
plan (Bitencourt-Ferreira and de Azevedo, 2018). The different stages included in Gibbs
reflective model mention below:
Description- I got the better opportunity for conducting an investigation on the
Workforce flexibility and its association with organization’s creativity in UK retail sector. In
order to performing present investigation, there has been quantitative method used as it is
effective in providing detailed information on specific subject area. In order to collection of
information, quantitative method is more effective as this helped me in giving the reliable and
accurate information related to workforce flexibility that helps in increasing the creativity.
Collection of the detailed information supported me in finishing the whole investigation.
Feelings- Through conducting the research project related to workforce flexibility, my
teacher motivated me as I feel motivated in order to performing present research. My teacher
supported me when I faced any problem and this helped me in enhancing my skills as well as
growth. At the time of collection of information from chosen respondents, I felt somewhere
nervous and hesitated which impact directly on my performance that resulted negatively in
completion of the research activities within given time period. When I was conducting an
investigation, I faced some complexities related to the time. Time was not sufficient to
conducting the research project effectively. It develops the negative impact on my performance
level and provide the negative outcomes. In order to resolve this issue, I developed the time
management plan and then divided the activities on the basis of set period of time (Oh and et. al.,
2020).

Evaluations- Through performing study, I identified my weak and the strong points
which impact to me in completion of investigation over the workforce flexibility. I examined that
my communication and the decision making skills are better. My communication skills helped
me in interacting with the team members and able to attain aim and objectives with my team
members within given period of time. On the other hand, decision making skill helped me in
finding and selecting the better sources so that relevant information can be gathered. Other than
this, my presentation skills is not good for presenting the information in front of my tutor and
chosen respondents. This developed the negative impact on my performance level as well as on
the research outcomes effectively. Therefore, I have to work on overcome from all the issues
faced by me in an effective manner.
Analysis- In order to performing the present research, I examined that because to the
communication skills and decision making, I can attain the set aim and objectives in an effective
manner for getting positive outcomes (Külske and Rozikov, 2017). I examined that if I do not
have the effective communication skill then I can not able to collect the information from chosen
respondents. In regards to this, communication skill is beneficial for me to interacting with my
colleagues, teachers and the chosen respondents from which the relevant information and data
can be collected. I used the primary method of data collection as to conduct the survey by
choosing different respondents which can provide the detailed information and data related to
specific subject area. This is the time saving as well as cost saving method.
Conclusion- From the above mention information, it has been concluded that completing
research by using the different research methods and data collection strategies, researcher can
able to conduct the research activities effectively and also getting the positive outcomes. This has
been examined that there has been quantitative research method used in conducting the present
research. This helps in collection of data and information in a detailed manner. This helped me in
enhancing my proper understanding as well as knowledge on the workforce flexibility and how
this helps in bring the creativity in business. I examined that workforce flexibility is related to
provide the flexible and positive working environment to the staff members so that they can able
to perform in a better manner and also focus on attaining the set objectives effectively. The
present instigation as beneficial for me as this gives the data and relevant figures in order to
attaining the set aim and objectives within given period of time (Misra and Poorsolhjouy, 2016).

Action Plan- In Gibbs Reflective Model, it is last stage that assists in make improvement
in the weak areas in an effective manner. This influence on my performance level negatively. In
regards to this, I need to improving my presentation skill in order to present the information and
data in front of my tutor and the chosen respondents. These ways are effective in checking data,
having the clear objectives and also follow the visual presentation in an effective or significant
manner. These all are necessary way to make improvement the presentation skills so that I can
able to present the findings and communicate effectively (Gao, Chen and Zhu, 2016). It will
support in presenting whole information related to research aim and objectives to chosen
respondents. Improving the presentation skill helps in develop the presentation skill that turn on
performance level which result in performing the appropriate outcomes.
