INTRODUCTION
The entire report is based upon the mental health and describe the intervention and
strategy or policies to overcome the problem of stress. Further report will describe the
importance of supervision and use of social media in order to promote the mental health.
TASK TWO- REFLECTION
The chosen career for this task is general practitioner (GP). Using PERMA model which
gives a positive psychology and this helps to realize the element which needs to reach a life full
of happiness. Being a GP, I realized that if the person has good mental health then it will be more
beneficial for a person to have control over stress which promotes sense of wellbeing regardless
of factors like, confusion, anxiety, irritability, fear and loss of sense of humour. As a GP, I use
PERMA to reflect understanding over psychological process of mental wellbeing.
As per my learning I analysed that positive emotions are crucial part of mental growth
and wellbeing of people. According to Townsend and Morgan, 2017, it depends on individual
souring and way of understanding different situations and I feel that positive emotion will
support mental health because it reduces changes of negativity, negative thoughts, etc. Further, I
feel Engagement is an essential part for mental growth and I feel that mental wellbeing can be
supported by keep an individual engage with surroundings and involvement with people.
As per my analysis and learning over mental wellbeing, Relationship is another crucial
factor which promotes social connection and inclusion of people which is necessity for reducing
stress (Tansey and et.al., 2018). Apart from this, from my learning I derived the meaning which
is considered another growth factor for mental wellbeing, such that I feel having a meaningful
life will encourage people to stay happy even in adverse situation that further promote mental
illness.
In accordance with Perma model of Psychological, wellbeing I have learned that
accomplishing is another important factor to promote mental health because it helps in setting
sense of attaining goals and ambition in life which denotes individual mental growth, wellbeing
and development. Thus, I can conclude by stating that engagement, positive emotion,
relationship, achievement and meaning are the crucial factor which derive people mental growth
and wellbeing and therefore needs too considered as priority by public service worker.

Section 1: Introduction
Mental health is the psychological state of person which reflects individual level of
behavioural and emotional adjustment. Maintain the mental health in an individual's life is quite
important as it helps to lead a healthy life. Report will clearly focus on the impact of mental
health upon an individual and also intervention to promote the mental health Chosen
organization for this report is NHS which is a public hospital in UK. Further, report also provide
some strategies to build resilience and also promote the mental health in case of emergency
service (Cooney, 2018). It will also describe the benefits of social media and importance of
supervision. Thus, it will produce the personal plan in order to enhance the mental health
awareness and wellbeing.
Section 2: Intervention
In order to cop up with the problem of stress, there are many interventions and some of
them are as follows:
ď‚· Establishing therapeutic relationship: It is important for the public service providers to
establish therapeutic relationship with service users like being available for the client for
talking and listening. Further, the best intervention by service provider can be assisting
service user to develop self-awareness of verbal and nonverbal behaviours.
ď‚· Relaxation: It is another intervention which helps in coping up with stress because it has
been analysed that to be free and relax from mind in a good idea to cope up with
problem. This further involves to taking control of the breathing and creating a feeling of
calmness creates positive impact upon mental health and also ready to cope up with stress
as well.
ď‚· Cognitive behavioural therapy which is psycho social nursing intervention which is
implied to promote mental wellbeing. This therapy encourages a person to develop new
behavioural response to stressful events. Provide proper therapy will also help a person to
improve emotional stability with regard to stress, anxiety and confusion.

upon mental health of a person. Furthermore, reviewing behaviours, thought processing
and feeling of service user is another intervention which aid in managing stress and
anxiety attacks.
Section 3: Strategies and Policies
In order to rebuild resilience, there are many strategies which can be used and some of
them are as follows:
ď‚· By assessing the level of anxiety and creating awareness among public. Further,
analysing individuals’ ability to recognize situations and express feelings is another
strategy to rebuild resilience.
ď‚· Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, imagery, music therapy and by developing
positive beliefs in person's abilities are considered other strategy that helps to cope up
with mental illness (Ways to improve resilence, 2018).
ď‚· By developing strong social network that help to make a person more confident and
Reducing stigma and avoidance of triggers.
In order to promote the mental health and resilience, local and national strategy such as
Health challenge Wales that focus to improve the mental health (Berry and et.al., 2018).
Promoting mental health and well-being is the main part of recovery that also improve care,
services and quality of life for those people who are actually suffer from mental health issues.
Policy
According to Mental Health Act, 1983 which promote mental health wellbeing and also
creates balance of safeguard which is available for patients, it also takes immediate action for
control the dangerous situation and then reduces significantly danger of patients. Apart from this,
the codes also state that service providers should organise programs in order to create awareness
among people in order to mental wellbeing.
In emergency services, Commission for Quality and Innovation has been introduced by
NHS whose main aim is to improving the ability of public services to support the promotion of
mental health and the prevention of mental illness. NHS also uses this strategy in order to make
people realize how important to take care mental health for a person so that they may lead to live
a life in happiness manner. This shows that it creates positive impact upon the person as well as

hospitals too so that they all will aware related to any issues which may be creates obstacles in
the path of success.
Section 4: Social Media
Social media is the best method that helps to connect various people with each other.
Facebook is the type of social media that helps to promote mental health.
Benefits: Facebook has millions and different types of users and it considered as
platform for search because millions of people connect with each other to seek solution of the
issue. The public health care pages in platform are beneficial for creating awareness among
people and enabling guidance to dealing with mental health concerns (Townsend and Morgan,
2017).
Limitations: Breaches of patient privacy and confidentiality of information is the
limitation for the social media and this further creates negative impact upon the mental health.
Section 5: Importance of supervision
In my opinion main duty of public service workers is to interact with patient as well as
with families on regular basis so that they come to know that whether the conditions are
improved and this further lead to verify all health task in corrective manner with defined time.
Supervisor main role is to anise the condition of patients for providing them better care and
services. Further, I feel in public services, supervisory person aims at creating awareness and
ensuring stable and activities of society in order to prevent activities which are responsible for
mental trauma and vulnerable behaviour of service users (Palinkas and et.al., 2015).
Role of supervision in supporting the wellbeing of public services is such that they create
link between management and the workforce and also encourages positive culture of wellbeing
in public service. Supervisor also provide different solution to public service users in order to
tackle challenges and promote the mental health.
Section 6: Impact of others
It is obvious that behavioural changes of people in surroundings play a vital role in
informing mental health and wellbeing. For example, if the family members behave positively
then it will also easily create positive impact upon an individual mental wellbeing because it has
been analysed that if a person live with their friends and family, they will stay motivated and

impact mental growth because these individuals play a crucial role in daily routing activities. On
