ABSTRACT
Background
Young adults aged 15-27 who engage in substance abuse and have mental health issues
are at high risk for future problems. There are interventions available, one study in particular
examined a 10-week intervention established for this target group at Avondale University who
enrolled in the “Foundations of Wellbeing” unit and consented to their data being made available
for the research.
Objective
The objective of the intervention was to improve mental health and wellbeing, whilst also
educating young people in learning and practicing evidence-based coping skills. Coping skills
such as relaxation, mindfulness, compassion, and goal setting
Methods
Fifty young people, primarily first-year students at Avondale University, participated in a
randomised two-arm controlled trial. Initial testing was done before intervention, immediately
after, and ten weeks post intervention. Other measures included were anxiety, depression and
wellness.
Results
Intervention participants reported significantly better mental health, increased
performance, and less anxiety. The sample data of the group reported significant emotional
improvement in well-being and self-esteem and were optimistic about seeking help when
required.
Conclusion
The pilot control approach was based on previous findings. It provided the first evidence
for the mathematical method applied to the 15-27-year-old age group who identified as abusing
substances and having mental health problems.

INTRODUCTION
Mental well- being is being defined as the summation of the emotional, psychological
and social well- being. For the person to be successful it is necessary that the person must have
the proper mental well- being so that they can live in better manner without any issue or problem
being faced.
In the views of Przybylko and et.al., (2021) mental well- being is very important to be
managed in order to make the person live in better and effective manner. This is very crucial for
the reason that when the person will not be working in better manner then this will be affecting
the position and working capability to a great extent. within young adult it is very necessary that
proper mental well- being and social belongingness is being mentioned. This is essential because
when the person will be mentally stable then this will assist them to be stress free and will be
comfortable in working in better and effective manner.
Along with this An interdisciplinary mental wellbeing intervention for increasing
flourishing: two experimental studies (2022) for the young people it is very necessary that they
properly manage the mental well- being so that they can have a healthy life. When a student will
be having mental well being then they will be able to manage the stress, anxiety, depression, in
better manner and can solve any problem or issue in proper and effective way. On the other
hand, having good mental welding also assist the person in improving their life satisfaction and
also to take the decisions in proper and effective manner. Moreover, having good mental well-
being will help the student in facing the competition and better and effective manner and try to
win in every situation.
The rationale for selecting the mental well- being as the research topic is that it will be
improving the knowledge of the researcher relating to this topic. Hence, this will be improving
the efficiency of the person and the study will also outline the different ways of improving the
mental well- being among the person.
Further for the university student, it is very basic to have good mental well- being and in
case it will not be present then this will be improving their capability for learning in better
manner. This is pertaining to the fact that when the student will be mentally stable and strong
then this will help them to learn in better manner and attain good knowledge.
The current study will fill the gap between the fact that how a person can stay in a mental

METHODS
Study design
The study design used within the research is the one group pretest- posttest design. This
is being used by the researcher as a quasi- experiment research (Mohajan, 2018). the outcome of
this type of design is being measured two times in order to analyse the result before exposing to
intervention and after getting the intervention.
Recruitment
Participants were recruited with a registry that produced the first 100 questions in the
study. After removing incomplete answers, repetitive questions, and those outside the 15–27 age
variation, 50 participants remained. The participants were contacted through email to ensure
eligibility, in which case all 50 participants met the inclusion criteria. Eligible participants
completed a preliminary questionnaire package, which provided detailed information about
interventions and basic steps. In a period of three weeks before the start of the intervention,
facilitators contacted participants to confirm credentials and other contact details and discuss the
policy of the intervention and a brief overview of mental health assessment. As researchers did
not see the process and follow the completion of previous questionnaires, 50 samples were
randomly assigned to two cases using a number generated randomly using statistical software; 31
were assigned to the intervention, and 19 were placed in control. The sample group was then
emailed a password-protected (encrypted data) intervention website link. Participants in the
control group were provided with data about the services they could access and provided the
intervention after the group was through with post-intervention questions.
Intervention
The lift project is required for the person to fascinate the well- being which is being
designed in order to lift the working of the individual or the company itself. This is very crucial
that when the individual will not be good then it will affect its learning capability and overall
efficiency. This is very necessary for the reason that in support of this Hinze & Mortan 2017 and
Morton et al., 2020 stated that well- being education is very important in order to improve the
working and efficiency of the person to a great extent. thus for this the intervention for
improving the mental well- being is very important (Snyder, 2019). In case the working of
will be improving the efficiency of their level of knowledge.

to a great extent. the most common intervention for improving the mental well- being it is clear
that use of mindfulness based cognitive therapy. This is a type of intervention wherein the
treatment is being designed to help the person from suffering from ongoing episode relating to
depression. This technique will assist the person in improving the mental well- being and will
help them to work in better manner. Along with this another intervention that is multimodal well-
being intervention can also be used to manage and improve mental well- being.
Measurement
The measurement will be taking place by asking questions relating to the pre and post
intervention for improving the mental well- being. It is crucial becasue when the proper
questions will be asked from the sample then proper outcome can be measured in proper and
effective manner. For this it is required that proper data need to be measured such that the
objective of the study can be attained in proper and effective manner.
Data analysis
The data analysis is very important in order to attain the objectives of the study. this is
because of the reason that in case the data collected will not be analysed in proper and effective
manner then this will be affecting the research to a great extent. for this the use of statistical tool
is being implemented in order to evaluate the working in better and effective manner for the
research to be completed (Pandey and Pandey, 2021). In the present case of analysis of mental

RESULTS
With the help of the finding from the excel analysis it is clear that post- test the average
has increased for the people. This simply means that after the test the different health related
aspect has increased. This simply means that after the intervention the well- being of the average
participant has increased. Thus, this is good for the person and in case these elements will be
increasing then this will be improving the efficiency of the person to a great extent. within the
finding it was evaluated that perceived health of the person has increased post intervention that is
earlier it was 71.7 and later it was 77.7. along with this in case of anxiety it has reduced post
intervention which is good for the person. Earlier it was 15.2 and currently it is 10.9. thus this
simply means that the post intervention the level of anxiety has been reduced and this is good for
the person as they can work in better manner.
Furthermore, the depression element highlighted that before test it was 13.3 and post
intervention is reduced to 9.4. Thus this simply means that depression reduces among the person
in case they take the intervention relating to the mental well- being. This is crucial for the reason
that when the working of the person will not be good then this will be affecting the efficiency of
the person. Along with this in case of stress, the same thing was witnessed that is it reduced post
intervention which is good for person.

the working of person will not be good then this will be affecting the working to a great extent.
In support of this Hinze and Morton (2017) articulate that having a mental well- being is very
essential within the person because it is them to take proper decisions and live better life. Every
individual particularly the students need to have us stable and balance mental will be. This is
particularly essential because of the reason that it provides a base for them to take proper
decisions and learn better and effective concepts. Thus it helps a student in managing the
academic and professional life in good and stable manner.
Further the finding stated that the post intervention there were many different changes
being taking place within the person and their personality and mental well- being. This is
because of the reason that negative points like stress, anxiety, depression and other reduced post
intervention. Thus, this implies that this is good for the university learner as this will be
improving their working capability. In support of this Capone and et.al (2020) states that when
these negative elements like depression, stress and others will be reduced then this is good for
the personality of the person. This is because of the reason that when these negative things be
reduced then it will be improving the efficiency of the person and their working capability will
be increased.
Moreover, the finding highlighted that there was also improvement in some of the other
capability or the element within the mental well- being of the person. These element involves
perceived health, personal belief, life satisfaction and others elements. In the views of Hood
Jelbert and Santos (2021) the working of the person is dependent over the working of the person
and their mental well- being as well. It is very crucial for the fact that when these elements
within the individual will be excellent and increasing then this will be improving the efficiency
of the person and their mental well- being as well. This is essential because when the person will
be having good mental health then this will be improving the efficiency of the person and the
decision making skills among the person. Thus, this will assist the person in increasing the
efficiency of the person and the working capability and will also help them to take proper
decision and this will improve the working of the person (Leshner, 2021). Hence, with this it can
be stated that mental well- being is very important to the person as it will be providing a better
base to take the proper decision for the development and growth of them. Also post intervention

CONCLUSION
With the above finding it is clear that having good mental well- being is very needed in
order to improve the efficiency of the person. This is very essential for the person that they must
evaluate and examine the mental well- being and this increases their interest in developing the
work. Also it was analysed that the post intervention somethings reduced and some increased.
The stress, depression, anxiety reduced within the person which is good as all these elements
must be reduced within the person so that working of the person can be improved. Along with
