Section 6: Impact of the others
The friends, colleagues and family had impact on an individual's mental health and well-
being. The friends, family and colleagues had a huge impact as the friends of an individual had a
negative impact if they are abusing, letting an individual to feel below and discouraging them for
each and every aspect. If an individual is depressed and mentally discouraged by their friends
then they could suffer from mental illness. If an individual's family is supporting and further
helping him then the individual will never feel lonely but if they are facing from any mental
pressure from their family side then they could not survive in this environment (Fancourt,
Tymoszuk and Steptoe, 2018). They will thus feel depressed and lonely which result to mental
illness of individuals. Colleagues also plays an essential role in everyone's life as they have been
spending their most time with them if colleagues discriminate with each other and let individuals
to humiliate other ones then the individual feel depressed and pressured. If individual have
friends, family and colleagues who are not supporting the then they could further suffer from
metal illness and stress but if they are full of positivity and supporting each other than the
individual will not face any of the stress and depression further and thus they can have good
health and mental state further.
Along with that the friends, colleagues and parents also impact the mental health and
well-being of public service workers. These workers are also facing a various level of stress and
mental pressure from their jobs and thus they could also have a stress and depression from such.
As they can have pressure from many such situations while rendering service to the public if they
are relaxed then they could effectively provide services to them but if they depressed and under
pressure and not mentally well then they can't be able to provide services well to the society
(Biggs and et.al., 2017). There friends and colleagues helps them to work ahead with positive
attitude through which they can render great services to them. If a public service provider had
their parents support then they could release their mental pressure and effectively perform their
job.
