Recommendation of BCP for Adopting Hybrid Cloud and Microservices Approach
MetaSoft Ltd has decided to adopt hybrid cloud and microservices approach for their
business (Ali, Khan & Vasilakos, 2015). The negative impacts on the operations of business
like interruption in supply chain as well as damage and loss on the critical infrastructure are
well treated and the risks are minimized with BCP.

It is highly recommended to include some of the major features and aspects within the
business continuity planning for MetaSoft Ltd.
i) Data Recovery: The first and the foremost feature that is to be included within
business continuity planning is data recovery. This particular feature helps to provide
recovery of data even after the data is damaged or lost completely.
ii) Business Continuity Strategy: This business continuity strategy should also be
included for protecting the data on premises within the physical as well as virtual servers in
the cloud.
iii) Resolving Bandwidth Issues: The next important and significant recommendation
for MetaSoft Ltd for including within their business continuity planning to adopt hybrid

cloud and microservices approach is to resolve the various bandwidth issues (Botta et al.,
2014).
iv) Accessing Applications: The various applications should be accessed properly by
the staffs of MetaSoft Ltd so that they are able to transfer the critical information or data on
he hybrid cloud.
i) Application Resilience: The various issues related to application resilience in
hybrid cloud are as follows:
a) The first issue of application resilience is the lack of security. There is always a
major chance of data loss.
b) The lack of scalability is the next important issue here.
c) The application failure is the third significant issue of application resilience.
ii) Backup: The various issues related to backup in hybrid cloud are as follows:
a) The first and the foremost issue of backup is the impact and cost of backups of the
on premises data to cloud (Pearson, 2013).
b) There is a fixed limit of the uploading speed and hence the bandwidth is limited
here.
iii) Disaster Recovery: The various issues related to disaster recovery in hybrid cloud
are as follows:
a) The first issue is the constant change of the cloud infrastructure.
b) The next issue would be that such recoveries are extremely costly and hence is not
afforded by everyone.

c) The disaster recovery is one of the slowest and the most laborious procedure and
thus is quite problematic for hybrid cloud in MetaSoft Ltd (Chen et al., 2016).

Requirements for Conducting Remote Server Administration and SLA Management
The remote server administration as well as the SLA management is quite important
for MetaSoft Ltd as both of these are responsible for increasing the overall effectiveness and
efficiency of hybrid cloud. The application manager of Manage Engine would be extremely
beneficial for the SLA in MetaSoft Ltd. The data centre operations could be properly
scrutinized if remote server administration will be included within the organization (Moreno-
Vozmediano, Montero & Llorente, 2013). Since, the previously existing infrastructure of this
particular company requires better automation for moving forward, the administration of
remote server is much effective. The organization of MetaSoft Ltd eventually looks beyond
the server virtualization for obtaining better efficiency and they could utilize the capabilities
of Windows Server 2016.
The major requirements of the remote server administration for the proposed IaaS and
PaaS instances of MetaSoft Ltd are as follows:
i) The first and the foremost requirement of conducting remote server administration
is that VMware should copy the entire state of RAM.
ii) When the VMware snapshot is reverted, the respective remote server would also
revert to the past time.
iii) Another significant requirement for conduction of remote server administration is
to check the backup technology, instead of system buffer for creating the consistent snapshot
in the file system (Chen et al., 2016).
iv) The fourth important requirement is that the various check points should trigger
the entire stack that is to be compiled urgently.

v) Moreover, the DNS server should be installed, set up, configured and finally
supported.
vi) The mail servers should also be installed and maintained and there must be
security related configurations.
The most significant requirements for conducting SLA management for the proposed
IaaS and PaaS instances of MetaSoft Ltd are as follows:
i) The first and the most important or noteworthy requirement of this management of
SLA is to identify the various business requirements by properly executing the business
operations (Aazam & Huh, 2014).
ii) Another important requirement of this type of management is by establishing the
significant scope of services, hours of operations, service performances, timelines and finally
the recovery aspects of MetaSoft Ltd.
iii) Moreover, the service catalogue of the services should be developed as well as
maintained by including the expenses of the various tiers of their service performance.
iv) A proper gap analysis within the available services and business requirements is
the next important requirement.
v) The fifth important requirement is to determine the expenses of the services in such
a manner that the service objectives could satisfy the business requirements at the reasonable
and affordable price for MetaSoft Ltd (Chen et al., 2016).
vi) The measurement of the total performance, adjustments and reporting results of
these SLA is the next vital requirement here.
