I am a student currently studying in Meteorology and Climate Course in University of
Leeds. I would like to become a successful Forecaster in National Center of Meteorology. At my
early age I was fascinated about nature and climate change. I was fascinated on the fact that how
people were able to forecast whether. Therefore, this particular factor motivated and encouraged
to take studies on Meteorology and Climate Science. In order to become a successful Forecaster I
would have to use my skills and competency level to its optimum level. In the current scenario I
am very active in external activities such as volunteering and CSR activities.
In order to foster my skill and competency level, the following strength would help me to
nourish them to become a fine Forecaster and get into National Centre of Meteorology. The
potential strengths are:
Proficiency in IT and coding: Since I took course on applied technology and advanced science
program. This courses has improved my proficiency in using MS Office packages and coding
such as Python and Rstudio Programs. This strength would help to work with systems.
Adaptability and Flexibility: I have the capability to work in any kind of situation and
environment. As I am studying in abroad, it gave me strength to become self-independent.
Commercial Awareness: According to my work experience I was a volunteer worker which
includes helping international students to settle down in Leeds, introducing my culture to new
candidates and learning from them as well and being involved in CSR activities. I am active in
social media as well. This activities helped me to be commercially aware of the outer world.

Team work: I do not encourage individual work and believe in team work since, I was a football
player from young age. I am well aware of the advantage of team work.
Planning and organizing: From my work experience I have potential skills to plan accordingly
and organize. As a volunteer worker I used to organize sports events.
Good Communication and interpersonal skills: I have good communication skills and
interpersonal skills which would be beneficial to work in new environment and understand my
other members of the organization as well.
Self-Motivated and Initiative: I am self-motivated and confident on my decisions. Since,
childhood I was fascinated about something and I took the right decision to focus on that
particular thing without being diverted. I took the correct initiative to achieve my long-term long.
There are certain weakness I must work upon. The following weakness are:
Working under pressure: There are times when I am unable to work under pressure.
Impatient: I am a little bit impatient and wants the job to be done as soon as possible. I am keen
about my deadlines and wants the tasks to be done before deadlines.
My career action planwill be guided by SMART goals.
In order to achieve my goals I have to prepare for short-term and long-term objectives. This
could be assessed through SMART goals.
Specific:
The strengths I posses will help me to get a job in an organization, but the weakness I poses
become a gap to sustain in the organization. Therefore, in order to fill those gaps I need to cope
with my weakness and improve my strengths.

I am good at IT and coding but still in order to get placed in National Center of Meteorology I
needs to work on various system which are being used in the organization. To learn more on the
system I would have to take course on climate forecasting systems.
Working under pressure is one of my weakness. This weakness could be made my strength when
I get involve in multiple activities at the same time. Therefore, I engaged myself in various
activities such as volunteering.
Measurable:
Before entering into National Center of Meteorology, I would like to get enough experience in
meteorology jobs in UAE. This would help to know where I stand in my career and my
competency level to work in such as big organization.
Attainable:
The plans are attainable as I have uploaded all resume in online job portals such as Linkdln and
Seek, which has helped me to get relevant job profile according to my qualification and skills.
Relevant:
The development plan seems to be relevant because I have been qualified according to the job
profile and interests I a seeking to achieve.
Time-bound:
The courses which I intent to take will be after I compete my current study on Meteorology. The
course is of 8 months. So that I can focus on my studies and would probably give time to learn
on climate forecasting system.
