Methodology
The research methodology is the particular procedures or techniques that are used to determine,
select, process as well as analyse the information related to the concerned topic that is “Violence
in schools”. The methodology includes the different tools and techniques will be used for
conducting the research (Kumar, 2019).
Research type
In the social science, the type of the research is generally used in order to define the nature of the
study and also how well it could be categorized into the various groups which include the
descriptive and analytical (Mohajan, 2018). In the research, descriptive research is used to
explain the characteristics of the population that are being studied. The analytical research is
majorly concerned with the testing hypothesis as well as specified by analysing the facts or the
information that is present. For the research of the violence’s in school, the researcher will adopt
the descriptive research in which they will describe as well as provide the explanation of some
sort of objectives when it comes to the particular groups of people (CuervoCazurra, Mudambi,
Pedersen & Piscitello, 2017). The descriptive type of research is selected over the analytical as it
will allow the researcher to form the research objectives related to the violence in schools.
Research design
The research methodology includes the research design which is explained as the complete
strategy that an investigation selects to combine the various component of the investigation study
which is a reasonable as well as the comprehensible method (Venable, Pries-Heje & Baskerville,

analysis is considered as the range of the procedure as well as processes that majorly emphasis
on getting the data with the help of open-ended conversation communication. When the
researcher follows the qualitative research design then they make use of phenomenology,
ethnography, grounded theory, and case study (Snyder, 2019). For the research of violence in
schools, the researcher will select the quantitative method in which they will select the survey
through which they can collect the data.
Research strategy
The research strategy is considered as an action plan that consists of the sequences which offer
the track related to thoughts and struggles which permits for conducting a study systematically.
In this research, the researcher will make use of the survey technique in order to gain a complex
understanding related to violence in schools. This method of collecting the data through survey
shows real population and real collection of data which is considered as the primary research
method (Pruzan, 2016). The survey through the questionnaire will be conducted on the concern
research topic.
Along with this, the researcher will also select the literature review technique in which the data is
collected from the researches of the different scholars. The data will be gathered from the
different databases which include Google scholar, online research, and university library which
offer the real data (Quinlan, Babin, Carr, & Griffin, 2019). The journal article will be selected for

studies. All the articles that will be selected must be based on the research of the different
countries as it will provide an opinion to the research for finding out the right answers.
Data collection method
Data gathering is considered as the procedure for pooling the data with the help of the feasible
sources with the motive to identify the response to the study issue, testing hypothesis, or
evaluating the results. Generally, there are two types of the method through which the researcher
will collect the data which include primary research and secondary research method. The
primary research data collection method allows the researcher to collect real data directly from
the population (Krishnaswamy, 2016). On the other hand, the secondary data collection method
is the collection of the data from the different books, journal articles, newspaper and many
others. For this research of the study on violence in schools, the researcher will select both the
primary and secondary research method for collecting the data.
The researcher will collect the primary data with the help of the survey through a questionnaire
which will provide them with the real opinions and thoughts of the people based on the concern
research topic which is about violence in schools. Furthermore, the research will collect the data
in the secondary method through literature review linked to the concerned topic. The reason
behind the selection of both the data collection method is that it provides a wide scope of the data
from different areas (Gray, 2019). The use of both the methods of the research will make the
research reliable and realistic which is one of the ways through which they can ensure that the
research will be conducted properly.

Sampling
In the research, it is a procedure that is majorly practised in the statistical analysis where the
targeted number of population. The researcher finds the different sampling techniques which are
used by the researcher for the concerned topic (Tobi & Kampen, 2018). For this study of
research based on violence in school, the researcher will make use of the simple random
sampling which leads to the opportunity and likelihood of being selected in the sample. The
survey has been conducted on 80 teachers plus schools students to get the views on the violence
in schools which will help in conducting the proper research.
Data analysis method
The method of the data analysis is considered as the procedure which is used by the companies
for the cleaning, inspecting, modelling, as well as transforming the data with the motive of
acknowledging the necessary data, communicating conclusion, as well as supporting the decision
making. In the research, the data has been collected but the analysis of the data is required by the
researcher. The researcher will make use of the statistical data analysis method which is a
procedure of performing the different statistical operations. This data analysis method is
considered a kind of quantitative research which needs to quantify the data and also make use of
the analysis with the help of the statistics. The reason due to which this method is selected over
the other methods of the data analysis is that this method of data analysis is used for the
descriptive data like the data of the survey. For this research, the researcher will select the
method of the survey through a questionnaire which will help them in gathering the information
based on the real data which makes the data reliable and accurate.
The statistical analysis tool that has been used by the researcher for this research is Excel that
helps in analysing the data of the research with the help of the graphs and charts that provide the
