INTRODUCTION
In organizations market activities are being carried out in both external and internal
platforms (Al-Sai, 2019). Challenges are bound to be occurred because of many different factors
which are important to be properly considered. Main purpose of this report is to understand and
identify the challenges that can impact upon business. Tesco which is a multinational corporation
and a supermarket chain headquartered in United Kingdom. Company deals in varieties of
products like grocery items cosmetics and many more. This report consists of different types of
four challenges which affect businesses.
MAIN BODY
Critically examine several challenges encountered in business
There are various types of challenges which are encountered within business and it is
essential for every individual to focus on these challenges so that skills as well as knowledge are
used in most appropriate manner. So different types of challenges are described as follows-
Apprentice Challenge
Apprentice challenges are those in which issues arises during a specific period when
serving for another with aim of learning new level of knowledge skills and trade. This challenge
also affects business at large scale.
Description:
Apprentice challenges or an apprentice person is one who challenges themselves to work
and study at the same time with the job as well as studying part. With help of these challenges it
improves communication, time management sense of achievement and many other things (Asad,
2018).
Skills learned:
Communication skills or emotional intelligence: It is the most effective skill which
have been learnt during facing of this challenge as because it improves communication

skills and emotional intelligence through which it is easier for individual to access better
opportunities.
Team working: Team working skills was also developed which it was easy for me to
work with different people at workplace.
Time management and meeting skills: Time management and meeting skills working
also improved during the apprentice challenge.
Business skills and competencies developed: During apprentice challenge it was easier
for individual to improve business and competencies skills at higher level through which
strategies were implemented (Balachandran, 2017).
Action Plan:
Specific target: Main target of this challenge was to develop and improve my knowledge
as well as skills so that I can use them in my future career.
Measurable: This element reflects about out measuring of the work and success whether
it is properly achieved or not which is done by using quantitative and qualitative methods
Achievable- It is also important element in action plan in which it focuses towards
whether the objective has been achieved or not and it is achievable or not. So, as my objective is
to develop my knowledge and skills it is easily achievable within 6 months (Camilleri, 2017).
Relevant- This element reflects about whether the set objective is relevant or not. So, my
objective of developed knowledge and skill is relevant to my future career.
Timely-At this element it states about whether objective and other activities are being
properly carried out with a timing and or not. My skills and knowledge development are in
properly time period.
Presentation Challenge
It is another kind of a challenge which is encountered within business in which it is
difficult to present topic for a given time period and engage audience with presenter.

It was critically important for me to analyze how many members of group will be required and
what will be the venue.
Skills learned:
Communication skills or emotional intelligence: This was also a skill which I learnt
during the module when I was giving presentation on t shirt of Tesco. My communication skills
and emotional intelligence improve underdeveloped at scale through which it was easy for me to
communicate with other people (Evans, 2017).
Team working: During the presentation challenge I also was able to work with the team
in effective manner.
Action Plan
Specific target: During the challenge my main target was to present a good presentation
to my mentors and leaders.
Measurable: During the challenge my main target was to present a good presentation to
my mentors and leaders (Rekarti, 2017).
Achievable- It is also crucial component in which it states about whether objective is
being achievable or not. So set objective in this challenge easily achievable.

Relevant- It is a last element in which it states regarding another object is relevant or not.
Therefore the set objective is related to the future skills and growth.
Timely- It focuses about weather set goals and activities are being carried out according
to time standard. So I examined that everything is according to time and procedures.
T-shirt Challenge
Description
This is associated with promoting of products and services for business enterprises. It is
the main reason why logos are created over t- shirt which are then acquired and used by
enterprises to promote for selling purpose (Rezaee, 2019).
Skills learned
Communication skills or emotional intelligence: Communication skills are important
and which were developed during this t-shirt challenge as because designing and creativity was
to be done for which communication skills were needed at higher level
Team working: It is another skill which was developed and improved during this
challenge because when logos and other designs were created everyone was working together
with mutual understanding.

Action Plan
Specific target: My main target was to create a new t-shirts of Tesco so that promotion
and advertising can be done properly.
Measurable: The measurement was done by creating an Excel sheet which graphics
costs and expenses which will be a occurred during creation of this new t-shirt.
Achievable- This at specific target is easily achievable because I have a skills and ability
to create t-shirts for new design and company so which will be achievable by me within period

Debate challenge
It was another kind of an issue which was faced by student during the module in which
main problem was in collecting reliable information and data. To present a good debate it is
necessary for individual to have most reliable information which are properly related with the
topic and concept so that ethical arguments are doing rolled out during debate.
Description
Debate change consists of problem such as gathering of information and credentials,
creating a two way communication with audience etc. In order to deal with this issue a proper
research analysis is needed to be done.

Skills learned
Communication skills or emotional intelligence: During this challenge my
communication skills were developed I was capable of delivering an effective message
when debate was going on.
Team working: It is also important skill which was improved and launched by me as
team working helped me in working with other participants and understand their point of
view.
Action Plan
Specific target: It is the first stage in which target is to win the debate competition
Measurable: Measurement of objective was done by use of qualitative information. It is
seen that information is reliable and effective.
Achievable- It states regarding objective is easy to be achieved or not so it is clearly
examined that set a target is easily to be achieved within 2 months.
Relevant- It is to specify that specific target is related to field of study and it will help in
accomplishing of future goals (Wood, 2017).

After a brief examining of above report It is seen that it is essential for individual to
identify challenges so that strategies are implemented within proper manner. So discuss the
having made about different types of challenges and action plan which are used to deal with
issues. It is further evaluated that competition level is increasing at higher level which makes it
necessary for business organisation to focus on these heterogeneous challenges which can impact
upon organisational structure.
