INTRODUCTION
Business organisation is created by the individual to conduct the business with the aim of
generating higher profits and revenue so that they can expand their target market. There are
various functions which is being performed in the right direction and some of the major
department are marketing, Human resource, finance, production and many more(Saha, Rathore
and Gigi, 2021). Morrisons is the chosen organisation for this report, It is the supermarket chain
in the United Kingdom. It is headquartered in Bradford West Yorkshire, England. The company
is founded in 1899 by William Morrison. This respective respective report will cover the
importance and roles of business functions.
MAIN BODY
Business functions refers to the department which is being carried out y the venture in
order to have higher income. Morrisons is working with the different department and their
importance is given below:
Marketing is the department which is concern for promoting and communicating the
company's goods and services in the large market so that sales and revenue of the company can
be enhanced. In context to Morrisons, Marketing having the role is to advertise and
communicate their goods and services to the large audience so that they can make higher sale.
Importance of this functions is to maintain their loyal customers by which they can retain their
products.
Human resource is the unit which is concern for hiring the potential candidate by
evaluating their skills and abilities in order to contributes to the growth and success of the
company. In context to Morrisons, The role of the HR manager is to find the right individual or
the given job role and its importance to provide the fair remuneration and skills so that they can
have the better approach in within the organisation and managing employees.
Production is the unit which is engaged in converting the raw material into finished gods
so that large quantity of products and services can be sell in the market. In context to Morrisons,
the role of the manager is to ensure the easy availability of raw material in order to full fill the
requirements of their customers. It is the important unit which act as the main department as it
offers the finished goods for their further sale(Mounessi and et. al., 2020).

2020). In context to Morrisons, the role of this unit is to acquire and manage the overall
expenses so that resources can be effectively utilised.
These department are interlinked and when they work together, It will leads to have
effective communication and the loopholes of the company can be identified in order to fix them
for the better results of the company. This also helps in maintaining the coordination within the
units in order to reach to the desired gaol of IMO Electronics Ltd. Moro ever, It also helps in
having the feedbacks from the prospective employees in order to understand the overall working
of the company.
