INTRODUCTION
This is a self-reflection report that includes my skills, knowledge and experience
which is required for the post of a marketing officer in in the marketing industry according to
my research assignment in CW1. The report consists of a career action plan which was
conducted to reflect the time frame of my development in the role of a marketer. The report
contains Curriculum Vitae that is in accordance with the job role of a marketing officer. This
activity has helped me in identifying my strengths as well as weakness which helped me to
get a better direction for future. This can help me in creating an image in the mind of the
reader (Kevin, 2015).
PERSONAL ANALYSIS
Learning is a never ending process it continues until the person craves more to learn.
As per my journey till now I can conclude that I am a learner as there are many things I need
to learn and bring into application. When it comes to grabbing theoretical knowledge it is
very easy but applying it into a practical essence is a tough task. This is the sole reason I want
to apply for a job in order to gain practical exposure in the field of marketing. There are
ample amount of opportunities in the industry but still there are a lot many complications to
grab the opportunity. The abilities, skills, knowledge and application play a crucial role in the
industry. Creativity and Innovation are the key competencies that the interviewers look for in
the applicants in order to trust them with the responsibilities. It is very important for an
individual to have a platform so that one can excel (Ascher, 2016).
I am an introvert and it reflects me as shy person, though my mentors and teachers
have supported me a lot but still I lack confidence and face issues when it comes to public
speaking despite the fact that I have so many ideas but still I am not able to present them in
front of others and hence I am presently working upon my public speaking skills.
There are times when I find myself getting into arguments as I lack conflict
management skills for an instance I can recall a situation when we were assigned a group
project wherein I had various ideas and I wanted everyone to work according to them which
is actually not possible and hence the conflict arose. I am presently working upon my
relationship building skills wherein I can learn how to maintain smooth relationships at work
in order to avoid conflicts. I have immense hope that I will be able to overcome my
limitations and weaknesses very soon (Posnaya. and et.al, 2019).
Personal analysis requires a person to know his/ her strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats. In order to reflect my personal analysis, I have analysed myself
with the help of SWOT analysis.

personal analysis consists of my skills and abilities which I am good at and can help me in
grabbing a job opportunity. It also consists of my SWOT analysis which reflects my
strengths, weaknesses, Opportunities and threats. The career action plan consists of my
abilities which I need to work upon. These skills can be enhanced with the help of various
courses.
