INTRODUCTION
Career is defined as the part of life which is afraid with employment or economic
activity. Development of career of an individual is done only by improving the current skills,
choosing the option of career along with advancing the career path. Development of personality
is also related with the better career of an individual. In simple words, career can be defined as
the growth and development of skills of an individual which will used in the future. Career plan
help the person to select the best option of career so that the current skills and knowledge can be
utilized in a proper manner. Marketing profession is being selected for this report. This option of
career has been selected on the basis of the present skills, knowledge and experiences o an
individual. This report deals with the personal analysis of an individual fitting the required skills
in order to getting selected for the vacancy of marketing manager. Along with this,it also include
the career action plan along with the effective CV covering the personal and professional skills
& experiences. Evaluation of personal skills is necessary as it is useful in analysing the level of
competition in some specified areas and sector. In order to identifying and improving the speical
skills, career action plan plays an important role.
MAIN BODY
PERSONAL ANALYSIS
The given scenario is describing about the market industry. It has been analysed that the
marketing profession have a better career in future due to increase in competition in the market
as the marketing manger perform the several activities for the purpose of attracting the customers
towards the organisation. As the competition increase, the importance of marketing ativities and
the executive also increase. I have analysed that I have relevant skills to make my career in the
marketing profession. I select this option for my career because of my passion and interest. I
have interest in the marketing sector since graduation. Also, the innovation process will never
end in this sector as the marketing department always work to expand the innovation and bring
new ideas in the business. Due to continuous innovation in this sector, the job of marleting
manger become my dream job. The previous part of this report i.e. CW1 explained several of
skills which are required to be an effective marketing manager. The skills which are being
identified from previous part of this report include communication, data analytical, attention to
detail, adaptability and creativity.

From these identified skills, it has been found that I do not have all the skills which are
being necessary for gaining the position of marketing manger in an organisation. Currently, I
have some skills which are required for marketing profession, including communication and data
analytics. On the other side, I found lack of skills within myself related to the marketing
profession such as attention to detail, adaptability and creativity. For the purpose of performing
the tasks of marketing manager, it is necessary for me to develop the above mentioned skills as it
help me perform all the marketing activities in an effective and efficient manner. Effective
communication skills are plays an important role in the job profile of marketing manager. A
manager have to manage the entire team, hence the marketing manager have to communicate all
the marketing plans with their team members in order to completing all the marketing activities
in an effective and efficient manner. Analysing the data is also an important task for a marketing
professional as the marketer use that data for the purpose of analysing the demand of customers.
By the use of data, I can provide the best service and products to the customers which result in
the achievement of organisational goals and objectives. Several of companies hire some
employees only for the purpose of analysing the data. My data analysing skills help me in getting
a goo job profile in marketing profession as it is the responsibility of marketer to prepare the
effective data of customers which is also useful while providing information related to the newly
launched product and services to the potential customers. On the other hand, it is also necessary
for me to give attention to the details as the details given by the marketers or received from any
secondary source may be useful for the organisation. Along with this, the adaptability and
creativity are the skills which are found as important for me in order to building my career as a
marketing profession. As these skills are found as important, so I have to work on this for the
purpose of bringing improvement in myself, as it leads to my future growth and development.
CAREER ACRION PLAN
It refers to a tool which is a need for an individual for the purpose of bringing
improvement in the specific weaker sections of an individual. In order to developing the skills in
an individual, it is required to make effective career action plan. It help in doing the evaluation of
skills which an individual want to develop. I also have a need of developing a career action plan
so that I can develop the relevant skills which are required to have in a marketing professional.
