INTRODUCTION
Skills, knowledge and experience acts as an essential element for graduate as with the help
of this they can not only enhance employment opportunity but can also easily enter in area of
graduate employment (Aaltolehto, 2021). This report discusses future career planning and
discussion. In this the main role of marketing manager in travel and tourism industry is been
aimed by me. This industrial sector is future oriented in which one can directly provide
consumers services as per their needs and demand. Report include discussion upon global trend
that impact upon this industry and knowledge and skills which is needed to perform respective
job role in selected industrial area. For this role, I have conducted discussion with my friends and
families as to maximise my knowledge and awareness of the job role and industry.

In today's business world travel and tourism industrial sector is among one of the fastest
and leading industry which have high level of opportunity in travel and tourism related business
such as tour operators, travel agency etc. This industrial sector is associated to provide facilities
and high-quality services to consumers in order to satisfy them accordingly. This industry has
various forms of sectors such as event and conferences, food and beverage tourism,
transportation adventure tourism, service accommodation recreation and more (Abahre, 2021).
Travel and tourism industry is basically associated with the act of travelling from one location to
different with a purpose or pleasure. It has been evaluated that this business environment is
inclusive of number of factors which have direct and indirect impact upon this industry which
can further impact the job role of marketing manager. In this it has been identified that
technology and globalisation act as major factors which is impacting this industry in a significant
way.
Globalisation:
Globalisation have major impact upon the sector of travel and tourism, as globalisation is
termed as a procedure in which world is seamlessly interconnected with each other in terms of
exchanging culture and trade. This process is also termed as integration and interaction among
government, individual and business organisations around the world (Ndou and Mele, 2021).
Globalisation have major impact upon travel and tourism industry as it created an affordable and

easier way through which business organisation can expand themselves in other countries and
can attract large number of consumers. However, in this business organisations are required to
conduct in-depth research of particular country in which they are looking forward to expand
themselves. It has been evaluated that globalisation is also creating number of dynamic changes
in tourism as in this consumer have wide range of options of destination as well as other facilities
which is changing behaviour and mindset of consumers, as they are looking forward for more
affordable and flexible services in unique way. Furthermore, it has been underlined that
globalisation also offer benefit to this industrial sector as with the help of globalisation business
organisation have opportunity to increase their profitability while influencing consumers from
various countries around the globe.
Technological impact:
In today's business world technology is playing most important role, as it is significant
bringing change. Number of business organisations in all the industrial sector are required to
implement high technological advancements tools and techniques in order to satisfy consumers.
Dynamic advancements in technology is making significant changes in travel and tourism
industry with significantly help companies to make reduction in cost and increase consumer
services while handling operations in an efficient manner. Furthermore, it has been evaluated
that technology have significant impact upon travel and tourism industrial sector, as it
significantly replaces excessive human labour. With the help of technology business organisation
in this sector are providing flexible and instant solution to consumers which helps in increasing
consumer experience and satisfaction (George, 2021). There are different types of dynamic
changes due to technology taking place which have impact in travel and tourism industry. In the
business organisation in this sector are needed to take advantage of automation in order to
increase consumer satisfaction. In order to conduct the role of marketing manager it is essential
to have proper understanding of the technological advancements and different type of
technological skills in order to conduct roles efficiently and serve consumers around the globe in
an effective manner.
From the above analysis it has been evaluated that technology and globalisation both is
acting as general trend which have direct and indirect impact on travel and tourism sector. In this
to conduct the role of marketing manager in this industry it is essential for an individual to have

To fulfil the roles and responsibilities of marketing manager in travel and tourism industry
sector individual is required to have understanding of various forms of skills, knowledge and
expertise. As in this role is essential for marketing manager to conduct different type of roles and
responsibilities to significantly fulfil consumers as well as organisations needs and requirements.
The one of the most important of skill which is essential for marketing manager to have been
communication skill. This will help them to communicate with consumers from different nations
background, ages, nationality and temperament. In addition to this best consumer service skills
are also required to be possessed by marketing manager in order to analyse consumers needs and
demands and provide them services accordingly. Furthermore, another skill which is essential for
marketing manager to have is, language skill. With the help of this skill marketing manager can
provide satisfaction to consumers who belongs from different locations around the world.
Language skills along marketing manager to efficiently speak with consumers which helps in
developing long-term relationship with them. Furthermore, it is essential for marketing manager
to have knowledge associated to cultural awareness. This will help them to serve consumers
while spending their cultural background. In addition to this networking skill is also required for
marketing manager to process in order to cultivate relationship across different borders.
It has been evaluated that marketing manager is required to have knowledge of relevant
laws and legislation in order to conduct roles and responsibilities in this industry. In addition to
this marketing manager is also required to have administration and management knowledge in
order to manage employees those who belongs from various backgrounds. This will help them to
embrace diversity in organisational workplace structure.
Evaluation
The vacancy for which I am efficiently looking towards is marketing manager in travel and
tourism industry. Respective role is interested for me as marketing manager have responsibility
to serve consumers from different backgrounds. locations and nationality which helps in
exchanging cultural values. It has been evaluated by me that there are some certain organisations

requires a master degree along with experience to conduct this role. However, candidates those
who are from communication marketing and business management will be required by some
organisation who have completed their graduation degree. I have efficient knowledge and skills
of the role of marketing manager and also have capability to conduct my roles in appropriate
time. Along with this during the time in which I will apply for this role I will significantly
develop my efficiency capabilities and skills by taking use of different marketing programs as
well as courses. I will also apply for marketing internship form a month which helps me in
enhancing my opportunity to grab this roll in respective industry. If given the opportunity to
conduct this role I will efficiently utilise my talent skills and competencies to serve consumers
on international platforms in effective manner. There are various forms of job roles in the sectors
such as travel agent, HR manager etc, among of this role of marketing manager is more
interested for me, as with the help of this I can utilise my capabilities efficiently this role is
emerging job role in the sector in which marketing manager with the help of taking digital
technologies can influence consumers from different locations around the world. This is one of
the most important features that defines respective job as future proof.
CONCLUSION
According to the report it has been concluded that in order to conduct roles and
responsibility in any industry it is essential for an individual to have access of various forms of
skills, knowledge and expertise and understanding of the job role in selected field. This will
enhance their capability to conduct rules in an effective way. With the help of having
professional skills and complete and individual can enhance their growth as well as business
performance.
