Introduction
In today’s fast changing environment, it is essential to ensure the effective
communication with the team members. In addition to this, it can also be said that conflict is
occurs among the team members. In the recent time, at the time of working in the group
projects , conflict must occur. Therefore, in order to overcome the conflict, it is required to
use the communication skills. With the help of communication, team members also get
clarifications regarding various things.
Communication, conflict, and resolution
It is true that effective communication is the significant aspect in today’s life. In
addition to this, I have also learned that conflict is evident when people have different
opinions or ideas. Besides this, conflict also occurs when person from different cultural
background meet. According to me, conflict starts when one party perceives that the other
party is being negatively affected. In several organisations, it occurs due to differences in
interpretation, behavioural expectations, as well as biasness. I personally believe that conflict
is an inevitable outcome in every group (Adler, Rodman & Du, 2016). I have chosen this
topic because I think that the understanding of these topics will also help me in during the
group projects. I faced it many times during my group projects where one person disagrees on
the effective means in order to achieve the goal. I have also understood that if conflict is
poorly managed, it tends to suffer the productivity. Besides this, it might also be possible that
objectives are not clear. I have always applied by skills and mind at the time of conflict in our
group. This helped us in smooth functioning as well as getting the positive result (Wehr,
2019).
In my past experience, I have understood some of the aspect of conflicts. I have also
decided to work with the new and innovative way. Only few people also accept any changes
brought in the group. As compare to this, some have opposed the change. Due to this, I have
learned that there must be some people that are against the change. Therefore, it is essential to
create such environment where each person can accept change. In addition to this, change
management strategy can also be implemented by effectively communicating those with the
team members.

According to me, communication is the essential aspect at this time because without
communicating the things, it is not possible to resolve the conflict among team members.
Effective communication helps in putting aside the differences and bring trust among the
team member. I always sue the effective communication during my group projects.
Communication also makes the things clear to every team members regarding their roles, and
task (Wallensteen, 2018). There are times task conflict occurs at the time of group work. At
this time also, communication will prove to be effective in order to avoid confusion.
According to me, before communicating with the other person, it is essential to know how to
communicate with one self. I also believe that responding and listening is the essential
dimension to ensure the successful communication.
As compare to this, negotiation is the process where two or more parties exchange the
goods and services by agreeing on the exchange rate. I have learned that several bargaining
strategies can be used in negotiation. Firstly, win lose negotiating can be used in which
distributing resources is used (Rahim, 2017). In contrast to this, I also come across the several
issues in negotiation. There are times personality trait as well as mood negatively affect the
person. Inn our group projects also, mood affects the negotiation. If the mood of person is
positive or good, it will positively affect the working (Brett & Thompson, 2016).
Conclusion
In the limelight of above discussion, it can be concluded that communications is the
essential aspect in every field. Without ensuring effective communication, team members
might face several problem related to task confusion or allocation of responsibility. Due to
this, there are high chances of conflict too. Due to changes in opinions or ideas of person too,
conflict arise in the group. Due to this, goals are not achieved effectively. In This regard, I
have learned that a person is required to develop his or her communication skills so that team
members also learn to do the same. In such a case, chances of conflict also reduced.
