7MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVES
Assessment of getting placed within the organisation
As the leader of the project team at the pharmacy store, I made sure to promote
honesty, openness and remained straightforward not only while clarifying the tasks delegated
to the team memebrs, but also to foster communication process. As the leader of the team, I
also made sure to acquire their views, ideas and opinions, which should make them feel
valued by the organisation and at the same time, improved my skills and knowledge to
emerge as a successful leader. The feedbacks provided by my colleague has helped me in
understanding my strengths and weaknesses, which have helped in exploiting the scopes and
opportunities to manage good leadership while working as a leader at the pharmacy store
(McCleskey, 2014). While performing as a leader within the organisation. I found myself to
be diplomatic and participative, which has enabled me to consider the ideas, views and
opinions of the team members with whom I have been working, thus improving my ability to
perform as a successful leader and mentor. I have always tried to clarify the tasks as well as
the roles and responsibilities delegated to the team members, which has allowed me to gain
the trust of the staffs too. Being diplomatic has though enabled me stay away from conflicts
rather than facing those and resolve, which can be a weakness from my side (Men, 2014). I
would like to work on that and make sure to use my leadership skills and attributes to keep
the team members motivated, encouraged and to ensure that they perform to their potential
within the workplace.
Discussion of self-improvement
The self-reflection process has not only helped me to enhance my skills as a leader,
but also enabled me to focus on the development of a good corporate culture, furthermore

ensure management of good working conditions and performing as a relator, include,
developer, being restorative and maintaining consistency all throughout too. My ability to
remain dedicated to my team members and maintaining even tempered nature has also helped
in maintaining a good circle of friends, families and acquaintances with much ease and
effectiveness (Matteson & Russell, 2013). I would like to improve the areas of conflicts and
make sure to deal with those responsible rather than staying away from those. I would also
focus on managing effective communication among the team members and promote diversity
management for facilitating teamwork, collaboration and efficiency in terms of business
functions and processes too (Huettermann, Doering & Boerner, 2014).
To manage self-improvement, I would also like to work more as a mentor and guide
to the team members and remain passionate. This could assist me to keep the team memebrs
involved in the project motivated and encouraged, furthermore ensure display of enthusiasm
and passion to achieve the leadership outcomes that should benefit both the business, its
employees as well as myself (Carver & Klein, 2013). I would also like to create more scopes
and opportunities for the growth and development of the team memebrs, which would be
possible by arranging necessary training and development sessions. This should create
positive mind sets among them and also allow for improving their skills, knowledge and
expertise, furthermore facilitate making collective decisions and working towards a common
goal and shared vision too (Ghasabeh, Soosay & Reaiche, 2015). The strengths that I already
possessed must be assessed and at times, focus on enhancing the strengths furthermore, to
guide the employees towards the achievement of goals and objectives as well as make the
right decisions in business.
