1LEADERSHIP
A. The team I was in was a self-managed team. The purpose of the self-managed team was
that it favours cost saving as well as high productivity (Collins, Chou & Warner, 2014).
In the team, there was greater ownership of the task that is performed and in terms of the
end product and the service that is delivered in the team. The main purpose of the team
was that the decision which was made in the team was far more effective as the people
knew that they were doing a great job. In the self-managed team, there is a group of
employees who are responsible as well as accountable for the most product as well as
services. In the team, the organizational structure task is assigned to the employees
depending on the specialist skills or in terms of the functional department in which they
work.
B. In terms of the task performance, I contributed by fulfilling my core job as a responsible
employee. The output was qualitative as well as quantitative, and in terms of the
contextual performance, this just goes beyond the formal job responsibilities as I gave
more to the team than my assigned work. In terms of the group process, I worked
effectively with the group in the organizational process to get the work done. I also
processed the things which required patience and the focus on everyone in the group.
Paying attention to the questions, and the roles has helped to better understand how the
group is affecting the other members; therefore, the output was very real. The process of
the work also gave individual satisfaction as whatever I was expecting from the team, and
what I got there was the discrepancy between them (Chiniara & Bentein, 2018). I
accomplished everything that I aimed for, and therefore my satisfaction was even greater.
C. Team cohesion is one of the characteristics which is present in our team. Team cohesion
helps in achieving greater success as the team is working for the same goal. In the team,

there are only group goals, but everyone was involved in the success of the team in the
group, and the focus was that the entire group rather than the individual are more
motivated to work rather than the team goal. The presence of team cohesion in the team
has to lead to the greater success in the team and has improved employee satisfaction in
the team and has to lead to the success of the team more organically (Onağ & Tepeci,
2014). Team cohesion was learned in the team through communication. The team was
dynamic, and all the members are understandable in their individual role as well as the
team goal. Therefore the trust in each of the persons is a contributing factor.
D. In the group assignment, firstly, the core job and responsibilities of each and every group
member would be accessed in the group. The ‘in role prescribed behavior’ would be
reflected in the specific working outcomes, and the deliverables, as well as the quantity
and the quality, would be measured (Boies, Fiset & Gill, 2015). The contextual
performance and that goes beyond the formal job, and the responsibilities of the group
members would be seen thoroughly in the member. In the specified group project, it is
very much essential to have proper cohesion between the member of the group for the
successful accomplishment of the job. The members of the group have to successfully
work with each other I order to get the things done. A proper plan needs to be there
where the goal of the group would be underlined. When every group member attains not
only their successful goal but also the goal they have set individually, they will be
satisfied in the process.
