Introduction
Sustainable development goal refers to the collection of 17 interlinked global goals that
are designed to be “blueprint to attain better and sustainable future.” it was set up by UNGA in
2015. The goal selected within this report is gender equality. Bcorps is also known as B lab
which is a certification of social and environmental performance. It is regraded as private
certification for private non profit companies. It is more focused on sustainable development
challenges. It is the ending of discrimination against women or girls because it is important for
sustainable future (Osman, Kenawy and Elboshy, (2021). It helps in growing women and
creating growth opportunities for them. Being in a Bcorps organisation, I have seen impact of
gender equality within their business environment. They are usually paying equal salary to the
men and women and encouraging them to develop more within working environment. I have
experienced that all persona is treated equally and there is not any exploitation within working
environment. Further, if company is focusing on gender equality, then this will be resulting in
expanding business and creating opportunities for women also.
Research Aim: To determine the challenges faced by organisation related to sustainable
development while expanding business at global level: A study on Bcorps.
Research Objectives:
To identify the basic principles of sustainability in a global business environment.
To investigate the challenges faced by BCorps in relation to sustainable development
while expanding business at global level.
To analyse the ways that could be used by BCorps for mitigating the challenges related to
sustainable development while expanding business at global level.
Literature review
Basic principles of sustainability in a global business environment.
From the views of BUIL CARBONELL, (2021), Sustainability development is regarded
as an arranging principle for increasing the human improvement goals while sustaining the
quality of natural system to furnish natural resources on which society depends upon. There are
some of the principles which promotes towards sustainability in global business environment.
The first principle is creating economic value that turn to impact in improvement of social value.
Bcorps is creating economic value through technological advancements and other types of

stakeholders in order to maintain effective relationships and create sustainability by promoting
initiatives and progress on their implementation of any ideas.

another market while expanding the business. It needs a lot of efforts, and challenges to be faced
by managers of company. In relation with Bcorps, they are more focusing on Gender equality
goals which helps in being sustainable in the new market. But on the other hand, some of the
challenges faced by Bcorps is lack of financial resources to carry out the plan of sustainable
development. Further, it is said that sustainable development is not possible for war-torn
countries like Afghanistan, Iraq etc. because there is many of the other priorities on the other
hand. The other challenges that could be faced by Bcorps while expanding in another market is
government conflicts in between profits and investment that is towards sustainable technologies.
The challenge is to more focus on gender equality should be to provide equal growth
opportunities to women (Alharbi, Arribas-Bel, and Coenen, (2021). They should have to
encourage and try to develop women. They should have to recruit more women and girls in order
to encourage gender equality. These challenges could be faced by managers of BCorps who are
expanding business at global level to enhance sustainability development within business
organisation.

relation with Bcorps, they are more focusing on sustainability development goal that is gender
equality within working environment. They are developing women and providing them all
opportunities to growth within same industry. Further they are encouraging them towards
achievement of organisational goals and objectives. There mangers are equally distributing
wages and salaries among men and women. Further, while going at international level, they are
more focusing on recruiting girls and women which results in encouraging and enhancing
women within working environment. By doing this, they will maintain good reputation among
people living at local places. This reduces discrimination at workplace. It is important to provide
equal rights and opportunities to women in order to create growth opportunities for organisation
and maintain sustainability within new market.
There are some of the competitors of BCorps, these are Justmeans, Zocdoc etc. which is
also focusing on gender equality at their working environment (Kim, and Hall, (2021). This
helps in development of company growth and maintaining effective relationship with all
stakeholders. Benefit corporation is an alternative model that bridge for profits and non-profit
model. Italy is one of the country who has passes BCorps legislation and introduce Societal
benefit. To have effective communication with stakeholder, it is important to build effective
relations with all stakeholders.

women and girls to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
