Introduction
This discussion is based on a reflection on the topic of the business environment. As we
know that a firm is based on their business functions and its stakeholders, hence I will extract
the learning about the same for my future development. I learned that stakeholder’s
suggestions should consider in business processes, and those suggestions are based on the
profits. In addition, reflective practices are necessary for a business to avoid critical issues and
business problem in the firm. I learned about various things during that course, which is helpful
in the development of personal and professional career.
Learning and experiences in a business context
I learned about leadership in that course, which is necessary to manage and monitor all
the business processes in a proper manner for increasing the performance of employees and
other business operations, which provides a huge profit to the organization. According to
(Bolton, 2010), reflective teaching is helpful for the learning process. In addition, it is necessary
for learning as well.
Business is a process, which is based on the various operations of a firm, such as
accounting, marketing, sales, and many others. Business requires experiences and learning to
manage various business problems. Business is based on innovations and experiences. It is
necessary to manage innovations and resolve business problems using reflective practices
(Bassot, 2016). In addition, critical reflection is beneficial for a person to resolve any business
problems are an easy way, which reduces the cost and time of an organization (Fook &
Gardner, 2007).
I chose that course to learn about the business and its various functions as well as
reflective practices role in the business. That course will provide me motivation for the business
and working at the workplace (Zeichner & Liu, 2010). There are different reasons behind
choosing this course, which are motivation, skills development, self-awareness, leadership,

teamwork, and many others. Besides, many management tools can be used for learning from
different experience during studies (Gray, 2007).
I learned about refection at the school level and I attend some seminars and workshop
for reflective practice, which is useful. Most of the companies are grows in the market because
of their employees and proper management of business operations. I had experience in the
software industry. I learned that always reflect on the problem or bugs in the software. As
many times the same issues will occur then those solutions can be used for those problems.
I got good academic marks in my studies, which is helpful for this course. In addition, I
have a good experience in IT-industry, which is a popular and famous industry in the present
era. Information technology has used in most of the businesses. Therefore, I want to use my
work experience and academic experience in that course. According to (Lawrence-Wilkes &
Ashmore, 2014), reflective practitioner used various tools for learning, such as activities, design
thinking, mind-map, and many others.
I want to be an entrepreneur and establish a software company in the next two year. I
had a lot of experience in project management and software development. There are many
critical issues in projects, which required a lot of knowledge. There are many business problems
in the process of project management. I will learn about the business environment and its
complications.
I can use online tools, software, and other sources to monitor and manage my studies to
a successful conclusion. There are many things in management to manage and monitor various
programs and studies. However, few things are missing because of lack of monitoring process
and I will improve those things in myself, such as leadership, teamwork, and many others. I
learned from (Moon, 2006), reflective practice is necessary for professional development. It
provides various opportunities in professional life.
I want to apply my management and project development skills in the development of
my career in the field of the software industry. I feel that business problems can be solved using
learning and experiences. I always make a blog in which I mention about various issues and

their solutions. I will be able to handle all business problems with the help of my learning and
reflective practices. I learned about reflective practice and it is necessary for personal and
professional development (Pretorious & Ford, 2016).
I have some goal in my life, which requires many skills, such as leadership, motivation,
teamwork, time management, and others. I have different goals, which are based on short-term
and long-term. In the next six months, I want to be an assistant manager in a well-known
organization based on my skills, which are created during that course. In addition, reflective
practice will provide good and bad experiences of life (Royds, 2010).
I learned from that course about responsibility and focus on work. I have a few goals in
my life, which are personal and professional. I will make an action plan for the next five years
and I will monitor my progress using Gantt Charts and other tools.
Stakeholders viewpoints in a business environment
I learned that business requires suggestions from various points of view to develop new
processes for more profit, such as stakeholders, and many others. The business environment is
created based on the various things in an organization, such as employees, management,
processes, and many others. I learned that business environment makes a huge impact on the
performance of employees and their work as well. In addition, customers make a huge impact
on the business of a firm. I learned that customers could handle with the help of various skills,
such as leadership, teamwork, and time-management.
Conclusion
In whole, I am motivated to study the business environment course and hence I applied
my knowledge in business development and problem-solving. I realized that leadership is the
most necessary skill, which is highly required in business in a person. Besides, a business is
successful because of leaders and managers. I learned that stakeholders provide many
suggestions for the profit of the company. Therefore, I learned that motivation and leadership
are necessary for the management and monitoring of the business environment.
