Post 1: Exemplary Business Communication
An effective communication is extremely vital for any business. An organization must be
able to communicate the business policies to the employees and the customers as well. The
proper communication in the business is necessary for the easy growth of the business. The
reputation, productivity and the revenues of the company can be increased upto greater extent.
The lack of proper communication can lead to issues related to relationships and operations
(Bovée, Thill & Raina, 2016). Taken for example, lack of communication and exchange of
information a serious project can be delayed distorting relationship with the client.
An exemplary business communication is formed of various methods such as the
business proposals, the internal communication, the business reports and others. The business
reports are a type of assignment which analyses a particular situation and applies the theories and
a range of suggestions to resolve an issue or improve the condition. The business reports help to
apply the business and management theories in a practical situation. It helps to demonstrate the
reasoning, the analytical and evaluation skills. The conclusions can be reached and
recommendations can be provided for the future actions.
A business report has to come up with multiple solutions on a particular issue with their
costs and benefits to the firm. The audience of the report has to be considered and the language
is simple and easily understandable (Kernbach, Eppler & Bresciani, 2015). There are several
types of business report such as field report, financial report, marketing report, technical report
and others. An exemplary business communication is characterized with clarity, consistency,
proper structure and others.

The peer post talked about the white paper as a document which gives all the information
regarding the company or the non-profit organization. As described by him, it is an information
document which is created for promoting or focusing on its products and the service features. It
is a kind of sales and marketing document which is used for influencing the potential customer.
The definition and a brief overview of white paper are properly given before proceeding further.
It is a marketing tool, rather an exemplary business communication technique for communicating
with the members of a particular organization. As per the views of Singh and Advocate (2016),
white paper is an authoritative report which informs the readers concisely about a particular
complex issue and the philosophy the issuing body on a given matter. Although the post talks
about the key concept and the main characteristics, it nowhere talks about the usages of the white
paper. The use of white paper is extensive. It is equally used both in government and the
business context. In Canada, it is a type of policy document which is approved by the cabinet
and tabled in the House of Commons, available in the general public (White, 2016). The
examples in the post are a bit less as I found which could have incorporated more of it. There are
a few spelling errors at places but he has tried to demonstrate all the plausible characteristics.
Notably the post is comprehensive but could have been made more interesting if several practical
examples were given. Overall, as per my observation it is a good attempt.
Post 3: Summary of the learning
The discussion forum on the topic of business communicate has helped me in learning the
phases, methods and intricacies of how to communicate in a business environment. It has taught
about the characteristics of the importance of the business communication in a given business
context. I have understood that without proper communication, a business cannot run smoothly
and there initiates various issues internally among the members. It has also discussed about the

multiple benefits of effective business communication. The internal and external communication
improvement can improve the team morale and the inspiration to work (Simon, 2019). On the
discussion forum, I have come across the different exemplary business communication tools
used for the business purpose. The analysis of the peer post, I have learnt how to analyze the
content and how to justify the analysis. The post was about white paper which is a type of
business report used for the business purpose. All the class lectures and modules have helped me
in gaining in-depth knowledge on the topic of business communication. I have understood that it
helps to foster a well-established working environment in the organization. The morale and the
efficiency can be enhanced through correct communication. The business communication can be
either internal or external (Passera, Kankaanranta & Louhiala-Salminen, 2017). The internal
communication is where the information is conveyed among the staffs and the executives
whereas in the external communication, the suppliers, the investors and the clients are
communicated with the organization.
