POST 1: Analyse the characteristics of exemplary business communication
Business communication is the process of sharing information between the people within
or outside of an organization which is performed for the economic benefit of the company. It can
rather be referred to as the way a company shares all the information for promoting the product
or the service to the potential customers. The most common types of business communication are
verbal, written and electronic method. According to Cardon and Marshall (2015),the most
essential elements to the successful business communication are the structure, consistency,
clarity, relevancy and others. The business communication can be attributed to either as internal,
external, in a business organization, between the organization and the customers who are
potential. There are various types of exemplary business communication such as the internal
communication methods, reports, the business proposals and others. Among the other methods,
the most effective method is the report. The reports can communicate the necessary information
between the members and the examples of various types of report are financial report, marketing
report, workplace health & safety report, technical report, field report, scientific report and
others.
The business report must be accurate in terms of the information it contains, relevant and
easily understood by the readers. A report needs to have a clearly defined purpose. As an
example, it can be said that the purpose of the information convey cannot be fulfilled if the
statement is not clear at all. It becomes difficult for the readers from the beginning. As suggested
by Correa-Garcia, Garcia-Benau and Garcia-Meca (2018), it must be written in the most concise
manner containing accurate and neutral facts. The conclusion should be drawn from the
statement. An exemplary business report is expected to be understandable and attractive too. The

language should be simple, straightforward. The category of the audience should always be taken
into considerations otherwise it might create mess. Taken for example, a business report that is
written for the shareholders concentrating on the financial specifics must be written in the
language with information they want avoiding irrelevant stuff.
