Post 1
Non-verbal communication is of utmost importance in the modern day business scenario.
It helps us in communicating our emotions and thoughts by using different bodily gestures. A
shaking of the hand, a smile on the face or a frown helps in expressing the original thoughts
going inside us without speaking any words. I have chosen these styles as I feel that it is of
utmost importance for people who are shy and introverted. Interpersonal communication is also
easy to be carried on via the non-verbal modes. As per my opinion, the interpersonal relationship
must be built to make the business run smoothly. As per the opinion of Lemonnier (2016), non-
verbal communication adds a special effect to the communication system as it involves some
special aspects like eye contact, body language, and others. Non-verbal communication also
helps in adding more clarity to the verbal communication by adding prominence. Brooks,
Manias, and Bloomer (2018) think that non-verbal communication can act as a major supporter
of verbal communication.
Non-verbal communication helps in repeating the message with greater emphasis that has
been attempted to be communicated with the means of verbal communication in the previous
attempts. For instance, if an employee is facing some health issues and needs to leave home
immediately, he may reach his managers with a sad and frowning face. The manager will
immediately know that the employee is genuinely sick just by taking a look at his face. Thus he
will instantly approve the leave mail without thinking much. Thus it can be said that facial
expressions form one of the important means of non-verbal communication.
To become an ideal manager in future, I will use non-verbal means of communication for clarity
in all my endeavors. This will make me flexible and easily reachable among all my employees.

I would like to thank you for sharing this post with us. I have gone through your post and
would like to say that it is really very informative in nature and were written in a very easy and
precise manner. As per my perception, oral communication is really very useful for all of us as it
helps us in understanding the message that is being communicated by one individual to the other.
Adler, Rodman and Du Pré (2016) has stated that oral communication is useful for people who
find difficulties in writing. They can easily communicate about their concerns while speaking in
the form of oral communication. In a similar context, it has been seen from your post that oral
communication is very useful in classroom sessions. This is very useful for carrying on
communication among the teachers and the students. It helps the teachers to teach her lesson in a
very loud, clear and proper manner.
The students also find it very useful as they are able to hear the class lessons and also
share their feedback. Oral communication is very useful in the business scenario as well.
Managers often use the oral communication system in order to communicate about the business
decisions of the organization with their employees. However, McBain et al. (2016) have argued
that oral comm. Oral communication has no written stored records. The voice recorder system is
often costly and might get hacked or misplaced.
The inaccuracy of the messages being conveyed is also one of the major problems that
might arise in the oral communication system. In the course of travel, the orally said messages
might be distorted or the carriers might forget some of the essential messages that have been
spoken from the sender. There is a risk of the recipient getting distorted or wrong messages in
oral communication. Thus I will always make sure that even if I convey any message vital
communication, there are always some back-ups or written records for future uses.

Post 3
This post will talk about the key aspects that have been learned in all the other posts
taken up during the course. I am very thankful to my teachers for introducing such an interesting
way of learning the communication system. I would like to thank my peers who have given such
interest and knowledge enriching posts. I have gained sufficient knowledge about oral
communication and also nonverbal communication. I believe that these would surely help me a
lot in my future career. Earlier I faced problems in expressing my thoughts properly. I felt that
written communication is the best way to express thoughts and feelings. However, now I have
learned that I can always use other forms of business communication like nonverbal
communication. This will help me in adding more prominence to the message that is being
conveyed. I can add gestures, a smile on the face, or a frown in order to convey my feelings.
However, Levis (2018) has argued that non-verbal communication often lacks certainty if proper
follow up is not taken from the receiver. Thus I will make sure that after convening my message
I am taking feedbacks or opinions from the receivers.
The other important lesson that I have learned is about oral communication. It is a very
useful means of communication for people who are not good at writing. Talley and Temple
(2015) have stated that managers use this mode of business communication for conducting all
important business meetings. It is the best means of communication as it takes place in a time
optimizing manner. However, there is the issue of lack of documents or proofs for further
references in case of oral communication. There is the chance of the message getting distorted.
Thus in the future, I will always use methods like voice recording or storing written records for
validating the orally communicated messages.
