Introduction
The report is a review of a presentation video made by a peer in regards to the subject of
management, people and teams. The company that was chosen by the peer student was Alumina
Limited. The various issues pertaining to ethical aspects and moral excellence were discussed.
The discussion of the various elements of the presentation are provided below.
Presentation review
Consideration of relevant theory and concepts
The video was good in terms of the concepts that were discussed. It was informative and
had sufficient theoretical backing. The concept of moral excellence was very systematically
presented and discussed subsequently. The most important factors that are related to moral
excellence were discussed. These are the corporate mission statement, code of ethics,
organization culture and total quality management. The presenter made a very good attempt
towards critically discussing the ethical issues that affect various organizations. There was a very
good attempt at effectively discussing the concepts. The presenter seemed to have sufficient
knowledge about the various learnings of the course. The ethical theories were very importantly
discussed. Some of the concepts that were every effectively brought forward were harassment
and discrimination at workplaces, social media, free speech implications, productivity issues,
communication problems, employee conflict, budget allocation issues and organizational culture
(Jeanes, 2017). The ethical organizational characteristics were also discussed through the
presentation. It is important to consider the fact that the presentation covered many of the
important concepts that were important towards development of understanding about the subject

matter. The theories were applied effectively towards the issues that were raised. For example
the organizational excellence theory was applied by the presenter to describe the various issues
that affected the organizations. However, the presentation considering this could have been made
more critical and thoroughly evaluative. The analysis is good but could have been better judging
by the scope of the theories that were applied and concepts discussed.
Integration of concepts
The integration of the concepts by the peer has been effective. The concepts were
discussed to a satisfactory extent. The presentation in this regard was effective and much
evaluative. The important factor that can be noticed are the acknowledgement of the concepts
and their integration with the discussion of theories. The acknowledgement of the implication
that the identified could have was seen essentially thorough the presentation. Organizational
ethics is a holistic concept and encompasses various important areas of any given organization.
Hence, the discussion of ethical organization needs to encompass all the important areas that are
important in determining its holistic functions. In this case the vision of the organization is very
firmly discussed in the presentation with regards to its most important implications. Vision for
example has been discussed in regards to the value that it creates as significant implications
concerning the organization. The creation of ethical organizations are found to rely on the
leaderships and the followers. The problems that the organizations face in regards to ethical
factors and their implications have also been discussed effectively. The organizational impact of
the ethical problems could have been elaborated in the presentation. However, the implications
have been effectively discussed in regards to their significance. The appreciation of the
implications have also been seen as the various different areas connected with moral excellence
have been considered (Moore, 2015). The factors that are related to moral excellence are

provided as corporate mission statement, code of ethics, organization culture and total quality
management (Pucetaite, Novelskaite & Markunaite, 2015). The outcomes that could be extracted
are also very effectively mentioned in the video. The extracted outcomes are presented in
accordance of their significance. The conclusions are provided accordingly.
Effectiveness of the communication styles
The communication styles that have been chosen are direct and effective. The video
shows the peer very effectively presenting the information personally. The peer is seen to be
presenting his own research very effectively. The communication styles are direct and very easy
to comprehend. In the video the student is seen to slowly and clearly present the data that he had
gathered. The video presentation is very systematically presented. It is evident that a power point
presentation has been previously made by the student with all the important points being noted.
The student is seen in the video to present the information very effectively. At the same time he
can be seen to explain further some of the concepts that were important in consideration of the
subject matter. He makes a very good attempt at providing a strong introduction to the company
that has been selected. This has helped the audience to develop better understanding of the
Alumina limited company. The communication style that is used by the peer student has been
effective because it has been made free from any forms of complexities due to the direct nature
of the communication. The presentation has been systematic. The student however fails to make
regular eye contact with the audience. This makes it difficult to concentrate on the video at times.
There is also evidence of stuttering by the student. This has made the video somewhat rugged at
times in terms of presentation. The language usage is not very fluent at time. However, it can be
said that the language used is very simple to understand and follow and does not have many
errors in terms of grammar.

Strengths of presentation
The strengths of the presentation are the matter of fact presentation of the subject matter,
the effective discussion and identification of the important concepts and the systematic
presentation of the same information. It is important to consider that the video is of effective
length. The student has made use of very simple language. Hence, the video is very effective to
follow and understand. The concepts are clearly stated without any complications. The video is
effective in terms of the discussion topics that have been evaluated. In accordance with the topic
the aspects that have been discussed have been very strongly aligned with the entire topic. The
organization is very effectively introduced and the major points are highlighted. The video verbal
presentation follows the systematic structure of the presentation that is made. This makes the
video more effective in terms of value and communication. The important points that have been
very effectively are Vision, characteristic of ethical organizations, corporate moral excellence
and all their collective implications. This has made the video presentation very much effective
and significant in terms of developing better understanding of the subject matter. The video has
been concluded effectively.
Areas for development
It can be said that despite the various positives, there could have been many more things
that could have been mentioned to make the video presentation more effective. Some of the
factors such as the ethical problems within the organizations could have been discussed more.
The verbal presentation was not fluid and the speaker did stutter and paused at regular intervals.
This made the audience concentrate less on the video presentation at times. It is important to
remember that the video presentation has to be made with a more effective camera angle. This
has contributed somewhat to a visual presentation that cannot be said to be much aesthetic. At

some time it became evident that the presenter was merely reading from the research
presentation. These areas if developed appropriately could create a more perfect video
presentation.
Conclusion
The implications of the study point to the fact that the study has been very effectively
done by the presenter. The presentation can be said to be satisfactory. The presentation of the
relevant data concerning the subject matter has been very effective. Overall the video is very
informative.
