As mentioned by the peer, issues relating to operational management that are going to affect
the stakeholders. Internal and external issues in the company named Woolworths limited
which are hampering the process of working in the organisation. The personal performance
problems of the branch staff which are affecting the service quality and as a result it results in
a lesser profit for the branch by dropping business for a specific branch (Liu, Forrest & Yang,
2015). It is also responsible for the lack of strategies which are essential for the operation to
be smooth and effective.
For this issue, the peer has suggested some recommendation and I am for it. I think
that this steps is really required to overcome those issue. The peer recommended to discuss
the issue with all their team members. If the requirement arises, then proper program of
development and training should be given in order to boost morale of the staff and issues that
are related to the management of the inventory. This is required for the Woolworth limited to
criticize the policy of the supplier as well as to market their good in a proper way so that
there may not be any decrease found in the sales volume. And lastly, the peer mentioned
about the impact of using the system thinking. System thinking is very essential in order to
analyse the situation as well as improving their previous results. It generally helps in the
interconnectivity as well as optimization (Roychoudhury, Shepardson & Hirsch, 2017). It is
vital for the development of the creativity in order to overcome the catastrophe as well as
resolving the issues related to operational management.
