1. Description of your Idea:
a. Industry Background:
The transport industry is responsible for the transport of people and goods from one
country to another. The transport industry is as a result responsible for manufacturing of goods
and availability of goods in the market. Thus, in short the transport sector is responsible for
generation of revenue in the global economy. The different forms of transport like aero plane,
trucks and marine vessels consume immense amount of petrol. They give out immense amount of
pollutant gases which have devastating impacts on the environment. The immense amount of
sound which they give out while operating also contributes to the environmental pollution. This
rising amount of pollution along with the consequent environmental pollution have attracted
concerns of the various stakeholders. The transportation industry needs to embrace sustainable
forms of fuel to reduce environmental pollution without compromising on the operational levels.
b and c. Problem and solution:
The problem or the issue of environmental pollution is one of the biggest concerns
impacting the transport industry at presence. The forms of transport at present are mostly powered
by petrol which gives out smoke, heat, poisonous gases and steam, all of which are harmful to the
environment. The second problem, which is the outcome of the third problem is that the present
level of advancement in engines do not allow total consumption of the fuel which in turn increase
the fuel costs of the owners of the vehicles. The third problem is the outcome of the first and the
second outcomes which is that petrol gives out sludge which clogs the engines of the vehicles, this

inhibiting their smooth functioning and ultimately damages them. The need to remove sludge adds
to the maintenance cost of the vehicles.
The aimed solution would aim to meet the three problems mentioned. First, the fuel should
reduce environmental pollution. Secondly, it should allow maximum consumption and third, it
should give out least amount of sludge. The solution which would be presented in the research
would be modern electrical vehicles which would be powered using solar energy. The
vehicles as shown in the figure would be fitted with two sets of solar panels and holders. The
holders would have mechanism to convert solar energy into electrical energy which would be
stored in the tow batteries. The solar dishes right on the top would enable the storage system get
access to maximum possible sunlight to gain maximum solar energy.

f. Unique value proposition – what makes you unique, better and different from your
competition:
The unique value proposition of the vehicles running on electricity sourced from solar
energy is that they would be simple to operate. The unique features of the vehicle is that they
would be fitted with the solar panel and converting setup right on the top. This means that the
vehicles would be able to gain solar energy whenever sunlight would fall on the dishes. The solar
energy would be converted into electricity and stored in the two batteries. This would enable the
owners of the cars to generate sufficient amount energy to last on long transport trips. This would
save money of the vehicle owners.
g. Prototype*
2. Technology Plan (if applicable):
a. Description of Technology:
The electric vehicle would run on advanced technology which would enable simultaneous
capturing and usage of solar energy. As soon as sun light would fall on the dishes, the dishes
would sense it and start catching solar energy. The electricity generator inside the stand would
start converting solar energy into electrical energy and sending the same to the storage engines.
This would enable the vehicles acquire solar energy and convert it into electricity even while
moving.

b. Technology comparison:
The technology used in the electricity driven vehicle is more advanced compared to its
competitors. The technology would real time conversion of solar energy into electrical energy
which would automatically be saved in the storage tanks and available for use.
3. Marketing Plan:
a. Total Addressable Market – this will be an estimate:
The total addressable market which solar electricity driven vehicle would serve would be
divided into three main divisions. The main division would be national market followed by
regional market divisions. They national and regional market would hold 70 percent and regional
market would constitute of 20 percent. The local market would consist of the smallest market of
around 10 percent.
b. Demographic of primary customer segment - your early adopters, not mass market:
The early adopter or the primary target customer segment would consist of the
manufacturers of electrical and solar energy powered vehicles. The large long haul vehicle owners
are also one of the early adopters of the solar electricity powered vehicles.
c. Pricing Strategy:
Attached
d. Distribution Strategy:
The distribution strategy would take into account both digital platform and physical
distribution channel. The company would sell the vehicles in its own showrooms. It would also
distribute the products through third party vehicle dealers. The customers would be able to gain
information about the vehicles and place orders on the official website of the company.
