(a) Critically appraisal of research objectives and paper fitness into existing literatures
From the critical comparison of studies done by different researcher’s related to similar
topic, it is identified that the present research fits into the existing literature. The suitability of
this subject can be identified in term of selection of title “Going Green: the evolution of micro-
business environmental practice”, which clearly indicates the process through which micro-
businesses go green. From the study, it is clear that different drivers of this greening process can
affect business activities of organization. In addition, research objectives have been prepared by
considering title of topic and reviewing previous studies done by scholars. Besides that, present
paper was prepared to understand the concept of the greening process from its roots through to
large-scale. In addition, for attaining research objectives and critical comparisons, researcher was
used comparative case studies of six micro-businesses so that impact of processes through which
micro-businesses goes green can be identified in a significant manner.
From the article, it is clear that very few studies have been conducted related to green
management practices. The abstract of present study clearly interprets three distinct stages
through which business processes passes that also helps in attaining research objectives of the
present study (Parry, 2012). Despite of that, present study clearly defined important implications
for policy-makers and advisors in order to better understand the micro businesses. From the
findings of the study, it is found that the supports needed by the businesses during different
stages are required for companies to better implement greening process in micro-businesses
environmental practices. From the critical review of literature and different studies done by
previous scholars, it is clear that appropriate support is currently lacking at certain key points in
businesses and it can create hurdle in successful execution of greening processes in micro-
businesses. After reviewing different literatures, it can be said that present article fit into the
existing literatures on the given subject. Research own findings and other researcher findings
indicates that activities and drivers change with the level of engagement highly influences small
businesses ecological systems and way of doing business.
(b) Critical appraisal of the research methodology and methods used by authors
Case study approach was used by investigator to examine the process through which micro-
businesses go green. In this regard, case studies of six micro-businesses were taken to analyze
greening process from its roots through to large-scale. This method was taken because it

Besides that, case study approach provides experimenters adapt ideas and data is collected in
