Homework Assignment
AI Summary
This psychology assignment analyzes the student's microsystem, primarily focusing on the classroom environment within the framework of Ecological Systems Theory. It explores the direct influences of peers, highlighting their impact on intellectual and socioemotional development, academic performance, and social skills. The assignment then examines the mesosystem, specifically the influence of home environment and parental involvement on classroom activities and academic success. The exosystem, encompassing the social network of the family and the neighborhood, is discussed in terms of its effect on academic performance and interpersonal skills. The macrosystem, including socioeconomic status and belief systems, is analyzed in relation to the student's access to educational resources and classroom dynamics. Finally, the chronosystem is addressed through a life transition, the departure of a favorite teacher, and its impact on the student's academic engagement and well-being. The assignment uses personal experiences and references to support the analysis of these interconnected systems.

The aspect of microsystem:
According to Ecological Systems Theory, microsystem defined as the environment that
interacts directly with the individuals and have a direct influence on the life and development of
the individuals (Cumming and Allen ). In other words, Microsystems contain the most
immediate settings where a child may reside, such as the family, peers, school, or
neighbourhood. In this context, the microsystem is the classroom. The peer relationship is the
most important aspect since it shaped the intellectual and socioemotional developmental. A
strong and close relationship with my peers helped me to gain the favourable attitude, improved
academic performance and excellent social skills that I can use it in future.
Mesosytem:
The mesosystem consists of the process and linkages that take place between two or more than
two settings in which individuals usually interact. In this context, home is the factor that
influence the classroom. Parent’s involvement in the education of the children are more likely to
facilitate reading activities and academic performance (Fomby and Mollborn 2017). In this
context, from childhood, my parents involved in my education and collaborated with the teachers
which improved my reading activities and increased attendance. Therefore, the involvement of
the parents in education and collaboration with teacher helped me with adapt positive attitude
towards educational activities which resulted in success in the academic performance.
Exosystem:
The exosystem consists of the linkage between setting in which the child does not
directly intracts but plays a crucial role. In this context, one factor that interacted with the
microsystem such as classroom is that social network of the family. The neighbourhood is

considered as one of the most common influencing factors that influence success. One of the
very close friends lives in the neighbour and hence, it provided me with an opportunity to study
with my peers. It further improved academic performance, facilitate understanding of the
academic courses and improved interpersonal skills.
Macrosystems:
Macrosystrm consists of the belief system, customs and lifestyle that shape the
interactions with the social interactions. Parents with economic distress tend to have
psychological distress and distress parents tend to have a harsh parental practice which affects
the success in school (Cipriano, Christina et al.). In this context, in my belief, I belong to
medium socioeconomic status and I had no opportunity to see my parents as economically
distress. Consequently, due to proper parental practice and economic status, I have an
opportunity to attend a well-known school. In my class, there are more than 50 students and
every classroom is a lecture room which further facilitates my success as I was able to gain in-
depth
Knowledge through visual representation.
The Chronosystem:
Chronosystem involves transition and shifts in one’s lifespan. In this context, one factor
that interacted with the classroom is that a life transition when one of my favorite teachers left
that school. It negatively affected my success as after leaving of my favorite teacher, I was
subjected to high distress and I was unwilling to involve in the academic activities.
