Before starting the multi-player
A few weeks before I started using the single player, I tried multiple times to understand the
concept in better way and kept myself acknowledged regarding the working process of the game.
I played and tested the functionality and simulation with the help of this medium. I found that
the single player was quite useful and it assisted me in giving the right guidelines. In single
player, all decision could be seen before and it was quite easy to play against the pre-
programmed game. I gained the knowledge of reading reports and the way to focus on various
bikes. The single player gave me the feel along with look of simulation and gave me the freedom
to test fashion and strategies for the multiplayer. In single player, a rollover can be freely done if
we do any mistake. It lends me to tune my Mike Bikes skill. On the other hand, it is quite
challenging to move to multiplayer.
Discussion and Analysis of group work process
The evaluation of the game and the group work process, helped in me in identifying my strengths
and weaknesses and it will be utilized for future works. I have evaluated my self-awareness
while I was working in the group. I personally dealt with some issues that aroused in the group
and the issues affected the dynamics of the entire group. I have discussed briefly the roles of
every member of the group and how the allocation of roles affected the relationships while
working. I have evaluated my work, after discussing with my group members. The objective of
the game was to connect to concepts of business which helped us in better understanding and
solidifying our mastery of the concepts of business. To start the discussion, we have to discuss
the type of decisions that the user has made with the help of stimulation and the importance of
those decisions. The user of Mike Bike multiplayer can make management decisions of high
level (Hernández-Lara and Serradell-López, 2018). We can set production capacity and quantity,
prices, choice of the segment, improvement of product, marketing budgets and channels,
efficiency and quality control, decisions of finance and supply chain. These decisions plays an
integral part in the success of any company. Thus, it is very essential to understand the making of
accurate decisions and the impact of these decisions on rest of the organization (Bashan and
Holsblat, 2017). In multi-player, the simulation will help us in enhancing the decision making
capability at managerial level and will also help to get a promotion in the company. It is

challenging to move from single player to multiplayer. Multiplayer brings interesting and unique
new opportunities to the concerned players (Lantz Friedrich, Sjöbergand and Friedrich, 2016). In
multi-player, the teams individually cannot roll back and cannot choose the time to roll over
(Brock et al., 2017). The rollovers are scheduled at a fixed deadline that is why before the
deadline all decisions have to be made and entered. All decisions are considered to be final after
passing the deadline. Competition is done against various other human teams (Warrick, 2016). In
multi-player, reports of survey helps to get an idea of the trajectory of the competitor and thus, it
also helps to make decisions critically so as to make a successful position for us in the
environment (Collins, and Durand-Bush, 2018). We can have an opportunity to capitalize on
the human errors of our competitors.
Teamwork Theory
There is one popular theory of teamwork named, ‘Tuckman's stage of group development'.
Tuckman' teamwork theory describes the working of a team that contains various stages. This
theory was well executed within the group and it generated great impact in enhancing the quality
of the work done by our team. It helped us to focus on the steps where our team have tackled the
tasks from the initial formation of our team till the completion of our project (Natvig and Stark,
2016). The useful aspect of this theory is that our team members have the opportunity to observe
their behavior within the scheduled time period. The four phases of Tuckman's teamwork theory
are described below:
Forming – It is the initial stage where all the individuals including me have come together to
form our team.
Storming – At this stage the leader of our team provided us the topic and allocate tasks to each
of our team member separately.
Norming – At this phase, the members of our team have started to work together. They have
developed processes and cleared the things that needed to be done by the respective members.
Performing – It is the final phase of the teamwork theory. In this phase, the members of our
team have increased their focus on the topic and delivered their efforts by working together
effectively (Robins, 2018).

The team work theory helped us in enhancing the overall performance of our entire group by
increasing the level of collaboration and cooperation among our team members. When I started
to work in our team it was good but there was a little issue among the team members. The
application of the teamwork theory have helped me in solving problems easily and helped in
bringing out new ideas through discussions (Betta, 2016). The theory have provided me
confidence regarding executing the work processes in a group and to collaborate with the other
members. Moreover, it can be said that the theory was good for the team as well as for me. I
have got a chance to improve my mistakes by working in a team. We were 5 members in the
group. Three of us have played multiple players and two members have played a single player
game. Due to this reason, there was an argument between the members. I have told them to play
multiple player at least once so that they can understand the game in a better way. After a
massive argument, all the members of our team have agreed together and finally the team
worked properly.
Three action points to improve future group work performance
I need to take a few actions to improve the future performance of the team work so that the team
can work together easily without any issues.
At first, I will encourage the members of the team to meet with each other. They will come close
by talking or meeting which will develop mutual trust and understanding among them.
Secondly, I will manage the team members by controlling the conflicts between them. They
require to handle the issue by communicating with the other. This will help the team to move on
and to maintain a positive work environment.
Thirdly, I have to organize the team properly so that the members of the team can establish their
roles easily. They will get the proper guidelines for the work. After communicating with each
other, they can provide their respective feedback on the work.
I will get many benefits from team work. I found that if we work in a group, then the work can
be done easily and in various ways. I want to improve the performance of group work in future
so that we can maintain a good environment for working. Other peoples will also want work in a
team after getting inspiration from our group work. The group work will help in developing our
interpersonal and working skills (Berson, Da'as and Waldman, 2015). It will also increase our

performance and productivity. I will be more familiar with the members of the group so that they
can understand the work quickly and without wasting time, they can start their work.
Communication is a very critical point in a teamwork. The team leader has to keep good
communication with the team members so that they can share their ideas or ask for feedback
very happily (Lee, Smith, and Sergueeva, 2016). The most important thing is to focus on
weaknesses of the members as no one retains the same strength, some of them may have
weaknesses (Salas, 2015). So I, as a team leader of the group needs to bring all the people of the
group together to get the task done.
