INTRODUCTION
Room division is an important aspect that is required to be considered by hotel industry
so that operations can be carried out in most appropriate manner. The service delivered by the
room division department is explained under this study. It consist of various role and
responsibilities of reception staffs that they carried in serving their customers. Some of the issues
those are being arises under hospitality sectors are being identified in study (Abbott, 2014). Most
of business performance are based on various factors that influence the services and related tools
and techniques are being used as to maximise the occupancy rate in hotel. The main objective of
report is based on statistical data those are related with room division is also explained under this
project report.

4.1 Management of revenue and yield
Role of revenue are basic requirement of totally yield that make right form of
management activities. For the expansion of hotel branches they are trying to implement new
strategies so that more and more customers will enjoy the facilities of the hotel services. The
yield of the hotel is measured through yield calculations. Its profitability is identified through
using current and previous year growth percentages (Sporn and Roberts, 2012). So many points
are being explain under hotel division that would incurred from generation by selling total
number of room should be divided properly. It determine the percentages of expected results are
achieved by milestone hotel with particular time durations. It comprises of various sections that
would be the main centre of attraction and other specific features offered by hotel..
Price discrimination: It is a best approach that are being used in hotel industry to
increase more sales and revenues. Management charge several price to its different
customers as per the choice of economy and requirement (van Mil and et. al., 201Z).
Tariff structure: It is said to be that rate which offered by hotel to its applicable
customers in respect of services use by them.

4.2 Sales tools used regarding room division
The sales plan used by milestone hotel are providing variety of duty plan if they are from
outside region. This type of method includes various pass rate, using 3D promotion, and
marketing to personas are included under business organisation. By offering seasonal offers or
packages to its customers that will help to negotiated rate techniques. Discounts on repeated
service used by customer that would help to introduce competitive advantages in hotel industry.
Over booking is a kind of facilities that are being used by customer prior to its booking in future.
It will help to generate maximum profit for the hotel industry (International Tourism and
Hospitality Management. 2016). Another important aspect is no show which is responsible for
cancellation of reservation and extra charged penalties will also help to earn profit.
4.3 Forecasting and numerical data regarding room division
Prediction is a kind of techniques which estimated revenues and dreamed of services by
utilising various tools and techniques. Some of them are royal room and sweat room or
combination of both that a hotel industry is being used in their business operations (hang and et.
al., 2013). The increase or decrease in demand and sales of hotel profit are reduce loss because of
hotel reservation at the closing time. All the statement model use through taking numeric data
that estimate need in the actual market situations.

members those are working on receptions. Different sale techniques are use by milestone hotel to
promote their hotel and other facilities. Under this project report forecasting is being done
regarding room division and on the basis of data calculation is done to know about occupancy
rate and average per room rate. Every information used under this project are explaining valuable
information about room division.
