This project investigates the critical role of human behavior in information security, focusing on the British University in Dubai (BUID). The research explores the impact of human factors on security breaches, emphasizing the need for holistic management strategies. The study delves into various aspects, including the development of a research agenda, literature reviews on human behavior risks, conceptual frameworks, and research methodologies. It examines how employee behavior can be managed through countermeasures and the importance of information security culture, policies, and human-computer interaction. The project also addresses insider threats, motivational factors, and incident responses. The research aims to understand how human factors, such as inadequate skills, lack of awareness, and intentional or unintentional errors, contribute to information security risks. The project highlights the importance of organizational culture, policies, and training programs in mitigating these risks and improving overall information security. The study uses various theories and methods to analyze human behavior and its implications for information security, offering insights into how organizations can enhance their security posture by addressing human elements.
